Untill the point just before bhupinderji's portion, lataji's music was mind soothing. But the moment the "theevra madhyam" of bhupinderji starts, he just captures your heart so completely so irrevocably that after that only his "voice" his "naad" his "bhaav" his "clarity" remains within you long after he has gone, the song ended and i reckon long after we are gone. The world has produced such "gandharvas" v v sparcely, unfortunately. My heart cries everu single time i hear this portion of bhupinderji. For this service he has done May his family be blessed and protected.

I envy the kind of creative camaraderie that existed between the two legends Gulzar sahab and RDB. There is a timeless, soul piercing magic in their collaboration that takes one to almost a purer plane of existence. Although Gulzar continued to write but the kind of justice RD did to his beautiful works has not been recreated. Even his films were not the same after RDB. One can sense the vacuum in him when he talks of his late friend. Luckily they gave us the immortal songs of Aandhi, Khushboo, Parichay, Kinara, Masoom, Ijazat and Dil Parosi Hai to savour and bask in the glow of.
There r some moments in the history of mankind , which r imortal , will remain written , may be frozen or u may say remain imprinted on the vast canvas of time ..... I think creation of this perticular song was also one such moment for sure.....
