Hi there! I am a watercolor artist and I would suggest that you put the watercolor paper in as separate single signatures or on the inside of the writing signature instead of the outside so that you can more easily paint across the full spread. And/or use pad/binding glue on the binding side so that the signatures don't have an open gap between. Watercolor paint is likely to just flow through that gap and make a huge mess. Just a suggestion!

Thanks for the feedback! I have a sketchbook option with just watercolour pages. I'll consider separate writing and painting signatures, I think that would be of interest too.

Since I love to write/journal as well as watercolor or ink & watercolor, so the mix of paper is what i make for myself...but with my rheumatoid arthritis my hands don't let me make them as often as I'd like to because it is such a fun calming thing to do :)
But as my hands worsen and I can't make my own, I'm excited to know where to go for something similar, but no doubt more beautiful! I look forward to you're new stuff!!! :)
    Thanks for sharing your videos!

Nice! Your channel is relaxing! Where do you get your inner papers? Also, it would be lovely to do a mini tutorial on your different kinds of stitches. 👏👏👏

Can I ask what type and brand of paper do you use in your bookbinding. 🤗🤗. Specifically for journal and watercolor paper. Because I truly admire and love your bookbinding process.

Also if you could mention weights. I inherited a lot of materials and parts of my own used in other things so an idea of what would work would be great! I asolutely do not want to buy any thing that I already have and would work. I have a ton of paper goods, fine quality water color and printing papers, matting materials, fine tissues along with things like card stock, hand made and pastel papers. (Mom was the multi-media artist, I'm a multi-media crafter. 😝)
A question: Have you made any of your own paper? If so what experience with that? I mean what worked well, what didn't and for what.
Thank you for generating the ideas 😊 how I can use this stuff. 😜

Hola!!!te escribo desde México. Antes que nada quiero decirte que eres una artista. Y una pregunta, tu refilas tus cuadernos es decir los dejas parejos antes de coserl9snporque se ven super derechas las hojas. 🤗

@@bittermelonbindery Hello! I am writing to you from Mexico. First of all I want to tell you that you are an artist. And one question, you refill your notebooks, that is, you leave them even before sewing because the sheets look straight. 🤗

I use 80lb Mohawk superfine in short grain. It’s hard to find but it’s out there. It’s ideal for bookbinding.

IMO, discounts are inappropriate for you - you work is a combination of an outrageous artistic eye coupled with the haptic skills required by your craft. You must be a 'price-maker' not a 'price-taker' - please forgive the economic terms, but yours is a set of premium items that rightly will always and should always, command a premium. You are not in the market for ANY customer - you will attract and retain those who 'get you' and want to hold and use, the output which comes from you and only you. Your items are created and made - by you - not me, not Mr or Mrs Smith - you; for that, we are delighted to pay a premium. Discounts attract a 'transactional' mindset, which is anathema to anyone who professes to love craftsmanship and artistic endeavour let alone one who, like you, demonstrates the application of your craft so beautifully. Please be encouraged - and don't stop exploring and sharing your journey with us. Thank you.

You think you do not talk well, but you talk reflective and not all progress comes from physical work. You do talk well, you do not have to talk about the details of the craft because you show it. And by the way, you are beautiful and feminine. Lucky man!.
