You’re such a breath of fresh air. I love how your vlogs feel so authentic, not contrived. Oh yea, the bloopers are so cool. Hope you guys have a great adventure in Thailand.
It's so nice to see a REAL flight attendant..... Thanks for taking us along and all the challenges you can face "wallet" LOL I always enjoy your videos....Thanks for taking us along... Travel safe my friend!
San Antonio native! You’re right, river walk is not the way to go. Extremely touristy and not representative of our best restaurants. A short Uber or bike ride, walk if you are daring is South Alamo street. You’ll find waaaayyy better food. The Pearl is more out of the way and pricier, but for some, even better.
Next time you layover in SAT, try Schilo’s! It’s the oldest restaurant in SAT; it’s a locally owned German deli. Breakfast and lunch only. Delicious root beer! 😋
Love your sense of adventure! San Antonians generally stay away from the riverwalk bc it is so touristy and not representative of the city. I'd recommend the Bluestar area or the Pearl if you ever have a layover again in SA.
Great Video. After attending a conference in San Antonio, I pretty much decided I don't need to go back. My memory of the River Walk on a hot humid summer night was the toxic smell of the boat exhaust with nowhere to go. It looks like you had a bit of a wind at your table with the pigeons! Love how you present your layovers as an independent traveler... not requiring other crew members to join in on your adventures.
I’m from SAT and I used to be a ticket and gate agent in SAT before becoming a DFW based FA. To be honest, the food on the Riverwalk is hit or miss. Not too far in the Market Square is a restaurant called Mi Tierra. Great authentic Mexican food, a fabulous bakery and mariachis. Try it out next time!

Flight Attendants should be able to get access to the flight lounges to rest and eat for free, especially if it's one hosted by their own airlines! I've heard there are some special lounges for flight crew, but you guys definitely should have access to any lounge when in uniform and working. BTW, have you ever used any of your layover walk around for an idea of where to come back with Kevin on a trip and possibly film it for the other channel?
Oh my goodness! I grew up in San Antonio! Seems we were at Casa Rio every weekend in summer when family would visit! I never tired of it lol! I’m in Dallas area now, and still miss it, yummy!! 😋
I wasn't aware that you could stay on the plane to avoid going through customs. That makes so much sense. A lot of FAs say they cannot pack food because customs will take it.
Oh no! You ate at the Riverwalk???? That's tourist traps galore! Best to go to the Prince William district. It's a 10min Uber ride - that's where San Antonians meet and eat. ;-) - unless you want authentic (Tex)Mex - that's all over town except the Riverwalk. Market District for example - almost walking distance from River Walk.
Aw thank you! There's not really a compliance check...if there's a supervisor around and they can see your tattoo and call you out on it, that's your check haha
Casa Rio is not very good as the Mexican food on the river is geared to the delicate palates of the tourist. Should have gone to Boudors across the river. Lastly, screw Voodoo Donuts, Playtime pizza was so damn good.

"Instead of being on the flight, I'm just gonna run behind the plane!" - hahaha so looooove this! Xx
I love your sense of humor and being real 😂😂
Aww thank you!!
Thanks for taking us along

I love Casa Rio! It is the oldest restaurant on the Riverwalk and is family owned. The prices are very reasonable. Next time get the street tacos.

Have an amazing day! Happy Friday. Ciao.

I was buzzing 😂
Have a fantastic time in Thailand ♥️
Casa Rio Mexican restaurant Riverwalk ill keep that in mind
Kelly another FUN vlog!!!
Thank you so much.
Enjoy your upcoming annual leave.
Best wishes & take care.
The riverwalk is nice but not the best food we have and certainly overpriced.
I think now that I've walked it a few times, I'll try out some different areas next time

Thanks for the rec!
I also came here to mention Market Square. And, breakfast at Mi Tierra is a must when in San Antonio.

Great vlog, Kelly. San Antonio is gorgeous. I have gone down and walked around on the riverwalk before. Seeing it again brought back happy memories.

My city
Always eat inside!!
nah I love sitting outside!
No, always sit by the river
Non-alcoholic margaritas are good option.
That's a good idea!

Ooops! Just saw your review of Casa Rio…sorry, I think ownership has changed…That’s too bad😢🤷♀️
I like your yellow dress ❤

You're too polite, so I'll say it, your crew = "slam-click".
Congratulations on your accomplishments 🎉🍾🎊 Quick Question would you mind sharing how does the compliance check for tattoos go?

OMG, u said "yall" lol
i enjoy your videos.
Lol welcome to San Antonio. 😂
Nice. Are you using a gopro?
Maybe the 4 star rating had to do more with the pigeons then the food.
When plane stops between where ur going do u have to exit or can u stay on?
That depends on our schedule, whether we have to change planes or not. We don't always stay on the same plane if we have multiple flights in a day
❤
I like watching your videos. I like how your hotel is right on the River walk. If you don’t mind me asking, which hotel is it?
She probably won't tell you that because of security.
Ok thank you. I didn’t think of that. I did look up the River walk and they’re plenty of Hotels to choose from for the next time.😊
