However, it would be great if you could tell me the difference between the following sentences:
I had had breakfast before I went to office.
I had breakfast before I went to office.
Hello!I hope you dont mind me answering. Basically, the verb here is "had breakfast", which means to eat breakfast. This is simple past. Eg:
"I had my breakfast with him last week."
Now, when you turn it into a past perfect, there will be two "had's". Eg:
"I had

I had used past Perfect before I used simple past.
