- The Green Hydrogen pathway can be a key enabler for India’s aspirations of building a low-carbon and self-reliant economy. It is therefore an opportune moment for India to launch the National Green Hydrogen Mission to scale up Green Hydrogen production and utilisation across multiple sectors and align with global trends in technology, applications, policy and regulation.
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy will be responsible for the overall coordination for implementation of the Mission. Ministry of Power (MoP) will implement policies and regulations to ensure delivery of renewable energy for Green Hydrogen production at least possible costs.

There is lots of excitement about hydrogen produced from water. But what happens to the oxygen produced?
Are you serious dude? Vent the O2 to the atmosphere. Eventually, whenever the Hydrogen that is produced is utilized (burnt), it will take the equivalent amount of Oxygen out from the atmosphere. It is a closed cycle.
Dude oxygen is used for medical purposes and industrial uses. They wouldn't release freely it to atmosphere.

Some green hydrogen which is made through electrolysing water escapes the earth...its equilibrium percentage in atmosphere is low and escape velocity is high
