Wanted to throw a few bucks your way to show appreciation for many years of inspiring videos!! Keep fighting the good fight my man, the world's a better place with people like you in it!! 🍻
You rock I appreciate the offer but please don’t do that…. I don’t know if you’re aware of it but I invented a bracket for the Chevy equinox…. That at the moment has maybe lessened my financial woes…….. only time will tell but the words mean more to me than the money ever would…. I swear to God I mean that. I was going to mention you in a video the other day but I didn’t end up making the video where I was removing a wheel bearing on the back and I was going to use your pipe wrench rotor trick….. but unfortunately sometimes there’s just no time to make videos and that really sucks because I do some pretty cool stuff….
@@sharpcarco I hear ya! I find myself doing the same thing, but it can be a hassle setting up the phone to record when you least expect it. I promise I won't send any more donations!! 😁 Just my way of metaphorically buying you a round of beers (or half a beer once TH-cam gets its cut!! 🤣) Anyways, Cheers!! 🍻
WE use to do this at a body shop I worked at in the 80's. To test the fit was to put a dollar bill in the door area being fixed. If the bill dragged when pulled out you were good to go
Be sure to fully roll down the window before trying to “flex “ the door to the correct alignment. There is a definite risk of shattering the glass when doing this technique, because the glass will not bend If too much oblique stress is placed on it. It won’t bend like the metal door frame, it will just shatter.
Sometimes those stricker plate latch pins wear, causing it to change adjustment, without anyone messing with them. Seems like i see more of it out in the wild west, where dirt road Dale's are making rooster tails of dust, the dust sticks to the grease in the door latch and then identifies as valve lapping compound, wearing away the latch pin.
Wow jusy saw the tumbnail of what looks like a fusion, which I proudly own a '09, and found a solution to a problem I had but havnt looked into fixing yet. If you have more fusion related tip i am subscribing
I do fusion stuff but you’re gonna find the most vehicles are the same…. Most of the tricks that I show in my videos will work on anything. And if I’m working on a Ford because Ford is a company and they wanna make products you’re going to find the procedures and most of the parts are fairly interchangeable or at least the procedures are interchangeable from vehicle to vehicle because companies make a lot of money by producing as many parts as possible that will interchange over different cars meaning engineers will engineer things the same way even though it’s a different car because somethings just have to work well on everything so they’re pretty much the same thing
Don't forget to roll the window down and do that you can you can bust that window if I had a pretty easy so roll the window down to make it easier to bend that frame that's what you're doing
You don’t owe me anything Pat I’m happy to have you here next time you see a stranger in need just help them out just like I would its payment enough for me God bless brother
Hope this solves my problem. The air is getting very annoying. Couldn’t figure out why I had a gap there. Is a lock out the only thing that could have caused this gap?
@@sharpcarco finally had time to try this today. I’d say it’s 95% fixed. Hafta give it a couple more pushes I think but the wind noise is gone and now the door is sitting flush. Thank you
Air Leak being fixed by bending the door frame? Proceed with CAUTION whoever watches this... inspect your weatherstrip around the door and check that first... bending frame is NOT an effective way to fix wind noise and air leak (if you experience hearing it while driving at higher speeds).
Sorry, I forgot that people don’t think often to check the door rubber first I was trying to make a quick video but hopefully it makes you feel better with your comment..
FIRST TIME SEEING THIS GUYS VIDEO..GREAT ENERGY AND KNOWLEDGE .

Thanks for this vital information. It 💯 works.
I was wondering if I could do this. Thanks man. Subed
Well I learnt something today and had a laugh!! Not many TH-cam videos can do that
OMG, 1st time watching this guy. "That's what she said" lol, subscribed immediately 😂 😂
Didn’t have the hammer used a metal cup and wedged it in then used brute force. Saved me some $ lol thank you!!!

He looks like Billy Bob Thornton in the movie , U Turn 😃😃
Just did a fix like that on my 94 Chevy G20 van
Filmed in stunning Vert-O-Rama!
Usually the weatherstriping is torn from being poked through when the being unlocked by a wire or rod.
Well, if you’d watch the video a little bit further, I mentioned that, and then on top of that, that was not the problem
Great fix great video. Subbed and thumbs
Oh man, that makes me very happy to hear Michael love folks like you hear like that ask me anything anytime I try to answer everyone if I see them

I don’t think that’s a problem in my 1994 dodge ram pick up truck, any other suggestions?
Lol, my 01 silverado frame doesn't want to bend, but I've tried it before and still have leaks
I owe you something man ..

Sometimes they just get sprung. I just say that that’s a good reason for why they normally do that but I’m certain this will fix it.
