If only PowerfulYukaKazami were still alive & active... He/she knew very well how to mockup PC-9801-ish screenshots, even going so far as to make custom sprites and icons for the yôkai. If he/she were still available on TH-cam, he/she could have given you the screenshot you deserve. And I could have gotten the artwork I need for my own covers, especially those for tracks that have not yet been PMD98-ified. But he/she seems to be just as dead as jedi787plus, the one who failed to understand pitch bend/porta in PMD98. (I do know porta, but I don't know how to get tremolo or vibrato or those obscure LFO MML commands...) Do you know of someone skilled in doing PC-9801-ish artwork? I tried to contact HertzDevil regarding such artwork, but so far have gotten no response. (Hz.Devil has a video with a perfectly-mocked-up screenshot and sprites that look like the real deal, but I don't know if he/she did them him/herself or outsourced them to someone else, maybe PowerfulYuka under a new username?) Thankee!
I do appreciate the Old PC 98 art work, for at least some of the older boss sprites. Especially HRtP's ones, I think to me they were really some nice ones. Rough, but had a great deal of serious presentation to them. I only wish Zun kinda went down HRtP's path a bit more with the big more Youkai like bosses. But at least we got what we did.

+Nifty Block I was careful to not use all the 6 FM channels, ZUN uses the F (last one) channel to play the sound effects, and I didn't use that one :D (although I used it in other covers, like Welcome to the Moon Tour and Evening Star, because they were just too much to sound good in only 5 FM channels :I(

That goes to show ZUN must have been taking heavy influence from the PC-98 era in Touhou 15.
