I went to a show in Atlanta and tony literally came out ring side and shook hands with EVERY SINGLE PERSON that came over. This was the night Cody had the flaming table match so they were red hot and that place was sold out. I couldn't believe how much time he spent shaking hands. It was so cool
Honestly, this is by far my favorite wresting TH-cam show on the market. I have enjoyed your humility, your kindness and your unique insight into the wresting world. I’ve been so happy tuning in and listening to you speak about what you so evidently love. Keep up the great work Stevie! Big fan!
I'm subscribed to Netflix,Now T.V,was subscribed to Disney + at one time etc,but I can honestly say I would much rather watch the The Stevie Richards Show on TH-cam over anything on those platforms, Always look forward to the next one each week and I haven't looked forward to any show on T.V or anything for years, Cheers lads,
I absolutely love getting input from guys like Stevie who spent time on the bottom or near the bottom of the card. We all wish we could be wrestling superstars, but it is fascinating to learn what it is like being the guy getting dirt pay to transform a nobody into a superstar. Love you, Stevie.
One of my favourite things is coming to the next episode each friday and seeing the subscriber count has increased. This show is a real highlight to my week.
Honestly learned more from this show about wrestling than most channels out there. Between you and Maven it has been insightful. I love Stevie's breakdowns about matches and spots, it has given me more appreciation of how matches are constructed understanding what happens inside the ring and why.
I love when stevie started talking about triple h and how he wasnt to be seen in a vulnerable position in ads or commercials promoting video games. And then the part about him wanting to have the biggest quads. He was trying hard not to laugh instead kept it professional with a little smile "i dont know why we give our energy to these things 🥴"
James on WSI: "Much love for you all! Although i'm not sure why you guys follow me..." James on Big Stevie Cool's Show: *Pulls off the funniest double entendre concerning the word dump i've ever seen.* Excellent work as always, my dudes!
Another great episode fellas. I agree Perry Saturn had an amazing elbow. He hit the rafters on the height of that elbow. Beautiful. Catch you on the next.
Happy to see (Daily!) the subs going up. Stevie Richards Show is probably the best wrestling show on TH-cam. Stevie and James are great together :) Congrats guys!
Stevie Richards jas the nest most articulate wrestling show that explains theater performance the act and physical stunts and personal conflicts of the performing artist
Hope you are doing well, brother. Your show is a refreshing take on the wrestling business. You don't blow smoke, you are humble, and most importantly, you are informative. Wish you continued success!
Another great episode on one of my favorite subjects. Always have great memories of watching enhancement talent growing up as a kid. The Mulkeys and Barry Horowitz were my personal favorites. It's definitely a lost art in the wrestling business today as you guys mentioned. You didn't mention it but even AEW Dark I liked because it was the last show that legit featured local or indy talent to put over the current stars on the roster that would be considered enhancement talent as far as I know. Every promotion should and need to have enhancement talent to put over top stars and talent getting or needing a push. The 50/50 booking of seemingly all the talent is one of the things that has driven fans away from the business today IMHO.
I lived near Charlotte in the 80s. Ron Rossi lives in my home town and when I ever saw him, even though he lost all the time, it was like seeing a celebrity cause he was on TV. RIP Ron Rossi
Thank you Doc Stevie and James! My best to Dutch and his family. Much love to everyone 💜💜💜💜💜 By the way I keep watchin cause you keep showin me. So yeah... I see...?
as a guy whos seen almost every ecw match and has over 100 unedited ecw shows. i think the most underrated guy in ecw was Chris Hammerick. guy always delivered, could fly, sell, bump,
Dolph Ziggler spent his last 5+ years in WWE getting $2 million before bonusses and merch yearly, so he might be the best paid guy ever to have years of never winning a match. ;) He got punished because Del Rio punted him in the face and gave him a massive concussion. That sidelined him and when he came back they never gave him the title again.
When matt cardona left WWE I was like damn you let go someone so gifted . I always enjoyed watching Matt and I hope he returns to WWE and finally gets his Cody Rhodes story .
Remember the mid 80s local show promos behind the cage😂 I live outside of Baltimore and always begged my dad to take me to the matches in the (then) Baltimore Civic Center- had I been old enough to drive I'd be there. They came to Baltimore every month- now we're lucky if WWE comes twice a year.
James ellsworth the perfect example. Bumped so well for Strowman he got a 3 year career in WWE which involved world titles and other belts. Many memorable moments.
The enhancement guy I remember the most from that golden era was Mario Mancini. He even acted as enhancement talent to other enhancement talents when they got small pushes. I also remember 'Red Taylor' (sometimes named Red Tyler depending who he was working for) and his matches against Mr Perfect where for some reason Curt insisted on wedging Red's tights right up his butt crack every match! My personal favourite enhancement guy though was Leaping Lanny Poffo during his frisby poem days before he became The Genius. Regarding enhancement matches being a thing of the past, they still have them on AEW television (you know when one is going to happen because a wrestler will be advertised as being 'In Action' rather than having an opponent listed) whether it be a local wrestler coming in from an indie promotion in the town where they're working or from ROH where they have several uncontracted wrestlers come on from time to time to put over the bigger stars. This is why I miss the old web show AEW Dark and Dark Elevation... we got to see a tonne of enhancement guys and girls on that show, many of whom where eventually picked up by NXT (the likes of Fallon Henley, Lexis King and Wren Sinclair being prime examples).
It's great you talked about Batman video games I played more of Batman Origins than other games and the bosses of Origins is so difficult.I tried beating the game to get a Xbox 360 avatar Batman costume and if you die the game starts all over.Deathstroke/Slade was great in the Teen Titans show and Arrow but don't feel they knew what to do with him.Teen Titans have a villain called Control Freak that is a great watch.
Brad Armstrong was a star in the territory days, winning many championships. His problems began when Bischoff took over and he would do everything asked of him.
@Stevie and @James should absolutely play a wwe game together for one episode like a Royal Rumble and see who last the longest lol, would love to see that
cool show as always. need to get the vocal volume mix same as the intro/segment volume. the intro/seg mix is mega high then the speaking volume in low. cheers
Carmelo Hayes and Andrade "that wasted the fans' emotional investment in that entire thing" there was no investment in those two, that was the problem from the start, LA Knight was the only thing that made it interesting
I agree. Who really cares about them in any significant way? I don't think Carmelo will ever be a big star organically, I don't think people will ever really get behind him. However I do think Andrade *can*, in my opinion he's got "It", not that he necessarily will though. I think he needs a gimmick change and to further distance himself from previous relationships. Obviously that isn't going to happen, as he is currently he is midcard for life. He's a big guy, he looks believable, he moves good, his wrestling is better than most guys nowadays, he's athletic, I think he's got good presence, etc.
You've seen one Tito, you've seen them all. Money In The Bank is actually a pretty genius heel storyline. This isn't genuine competition where it is unfair to the guy who has put in the hard work. This is so you will hate (or at the very least be annoyed) with the one cashing it in. It makes sense. As for Karrion Kross, if he doesn't get over, he could always switch to commentary and call the match in his Jesse Ventura voice. 😂
Stevie, what about "One guy goes over, one guy gets over" with the job guys? Specifically at 1:25:00 when you're talking about the match with Jim Powers and Scotty Riggs.
Blackwell went into business himself, he had friends & family in the crowd and wanted to get offense in and look good instead of getting a traditional squash.
Kinda nuts. I'd always been a wrestling fan, but wasn't aware of too much before the 2000s and for a good chunk of that time was only a casual fan. About 12 years ago I ended up being in a community college class out in Las Vegas with an older lady and found myself helping them out with math. They were going for a hospitality management degree, I believe. I end up going to her house and there's all this memorabilia of Randy and Bob Orton and maybe one or two others I didn't recognize. Come to find out these actually were Randy Orton's siblings and the person I was tutoring was Randy's aunt. Sure enough, Barry-O lived there as well. Didn't know who he was at the time, but got to talk to him quite a bit. Very talkative, very open and opinionated, and definitely a character. I remember feeling a little uncomfortable around him, but you could see how he would be good in the wrestling business. Tried looking Barry-O up on TH-cam after those encounters and didn't really see much, but it's awesome to hear his name again having once met the man.
I don't get how James thought Edge wouldn't win the world title at some point.. They had so few dependable main eventers back then.. Taker was injured, Ken was going to cash in if not for the injury. So Edge did, who then got injured & they had to put it on Khali for Batista to chase for it.. And Edge had already been King of the Ring, IC champ & beaten Angle multiple times through 2001-02. They were always going to find a way to push his main event status. It was just about waiting for the right time. Lita/Matt Hardy & MITB provided that. 👍
Everyone forgets that Cesaro used to have pepperoni nipples, and Vince used to not only make fun of him for it, but was the reason Cesaro underwent cosmetic surgery to have his nipples altered for TV. I need James to ask Cesaro about THAT.
I wish WWE invited you to be at the old ECW arena during the NXT episode this week. You definitely deserved to be there, Stevie!
I'm a Stevie Richards Show Stooge!!! Stevie's Stooges! Get well Dutch and family! Miss you so much...
Stevie does kind of look a bit like Iggy Pop, so it works
Stevie Richards is the best wrestling channel imo. I get the most joy and entertainment listening and watching Stevie. Great chemistry.
These podcasts are so insightful. I dont even watch the product but god damn is this industry utterly fascinating.
Stevie. Ive had some major events happen in my life recently beyond my control making me feel pretty hopeless at times. Just the small break i get from reality watching your show is immensely important to me. Thank you so much for helping me get my mind off the bullshit.

Two of the most likeable guys. I always liked Stevie Richards even when I was a kid. I always created him in the first smackdown game.
Tony Khan is a standup guy for that, regardless how I feel about AEW that dude is more than generous towards wrestlers.
Because he loves wrestling and he has shown me how hellish it would be for anyone to compete with wwe.
Yeah, he's just so terrible at running anything
I went to a show in Atlanta and tony literally came out ring side and shook hands with EVERY SINGLE PERSON that came over. This was the night Cody had the flaming table match so they were red hot and that place was sold out. I couldn't believe how much time he spent shaking hands. It was so cool

Best podcast on pro wrestling. I'm a Stevie Richards mark.
Easily the most educational and entertaining wrestling-skewed show.
Both of you to thank.
4 decade wrestling fan here , and this is THE best wrestling channel imo 👍 .
I LOVED Barry Horowitz and his dumb patting himself on his back. Lol the ultimate underdog!
I'm subscribed to Netflix,Now T.V,was subscribed to Disney + at one time etc,but I can honestly say I would much rather watch the The Stevie Richards Show on TH-cam over anything on those platforms,
Always look forward to the next one each week and I haven't looked forward to any show on T.V or anything for years,
Cheers lads,
I miss dutch! You guys are so good for what you do. I love this podcast.
This has quickly become my favorite wrestling pod. And there are many great ones.
You don't understand how intently I've been waiting for a new episode.
Just imagine- the jobbers/enhancement talent in the 80s/90s wrestled every legend week to week.
I absolutely love getting input from guys like Stevie who spent time on the bottom or near the bottom of the card. We all wish we could be wrestling superstars, but it is fascinating to learn what it is like being the guy getting dirt pay to transform a nobody into a superstar. Love you, Stevie.

tony kahn doing everything from his heart, makes him so authentic. what a good dude!
My favorite Stevie Richard’s moment is when is when Vince forced Triple H to put him over at Summerslam 99
Really love the genuine nature and intelligence Stevie brings to the content.
James on WSI: "Much love for you all! Although i'm not sure why you guys follow me..."
James on Big Stevie Cool's Show: *Pulls off the funniest double entendre concerning the word dump i've ever seen.*
Excellent work as always, my dudes!
Thanks for another great episode. Being from Philly I really miss the old ECW arena shows , man oh man , what a time to be alive !
Another great episode fellas. I agree Perry Saturn had an amazing elbow. He hit the rafters on the height of that elbow. Beautiful. Catch you on the next.
Terry…Saturn
I can and do listen to these two for hours on end. Awesome show lads, awesome show!!
Happy to see (Daily!) the subs going up. Stevie Richards Show is probably the best wrestling show on TH-cam. Stevie and James are great together :) Congrats guys!
My favorite Stevie Richards moment is when he beat both Triple H and Shawn Michaels in the main event of Wreslemania XX. Good times.
I remember that
Hogan did it twice. And with a broken back
The way you talked bout macho man was so heartfelt thank you
I love that you hear so many negative things about Punk and Stevie puts him in the S tier, I love Stevie so much
Stevie Richards jas the nest most articulate wrestling show that explains theater performance the act and physical stunts and personal conflicts of the performing artist
I've been watching since episode 2. you are spoiling us with this top quality content
Great show guys
Loving the episodes brothers.
Hope you are doing well, brother. Your show is a refreshing take on the wrestling business. You don't blow smoke, you are humble, and most importantly, you are informative. Wish you continued success!
Been waiting all day for this!! Thank you for the great content so far!
I love the content, guys. Thanks for the entertainment.☮️
Just joined your Patreon. The nerd in me is excited to see more BTS 😂.
Mike Blackwell looks like Buzz Sawyer’s adopted brother popped me yuuuuuuuge!
Bus fare home, nice throwback.
Thank you for remembering Brad Armstrong. He was one of the greatest.
Great googly that's a lot of content, keep it up.
Minor note the volume seems a little low this week. That or I've gone deaf.

50/50 booking sucks! Nobody looks strong and everyone looks weak. Constant run-ins, heatless feuds, it's all just so bleh.
Remember the NWA World Wide Wrestling matches- literally 10 seconds😂 I remember the Road Warriors would come out and wreck guys in 5 seconds 😂
Much love to everyone 💜💜💜💜💜
By the way I keep watchin cause you keep showin me. So yeah... I see...?
The Mike Blackwell match I’ve seen a 1000 times. I die laughing every time.
I remember "Jumping" Joey Maggs from enhancement matches in WCW.
It’s interesting that the mid to lower card wrestlers make the best podcasters. (IE Maven, Stevie)
It helps that Stevie and Maven aren't complete luddites when it comes to modern technology 😂 no offense to the old timers.
I am here for the Carry On Camping poster behind James every week!!
as a guy whos seen almost every ecw match and has over 100 unedited ecw shows. i think the most underrated guy in ecw was Chris Hammerick. guy always delivered, could fly, sell, bump,
Hogan, as champion, had a TV match with Johnny Rodz around 1985 or so where he gave Rodz quite a bit of offense, including a 2-count near-fall.
Dolph Ziggler spent his last 5+ years in WWE getting $2 million before bonusses and merch yearly, so he might be the best paid guy ever to have years of never winning a match. ;)
He got punished because Del Rio punted him in the face and gave him a massive concussion. That sidelined him and when he came back they never gave him the title again.
Richards using video game analogies is funny to me, "he was like a sidequest before the final boss"😂
@Pezint It's always sports analogies so it's nice hearing video game analogies for once.
When matt cardona left WWE I was like damn you let go someone so gifted . I always enjoyed watching Matt and I hope he returns to WWE and finally gets his Cody Rhodes story .

Great content
Thanks boyz
An interesting episode I think would be what the locker room was like once WCW was bought over and the Invasion happened.
great show just volume was slightly lower had to crank the vol

good questions this week!!

Rusty Brooks! Totallly remember him!
cool show as always. need to get the vocal volume mix same as the intro/segment volume. the intro/seg mix is mega high then the speaking volume in low. cheers
Money in the Bank should guarantee a match at a PPV, not turn the WWE Championship into the 24/7 title.
Okay, enough comment spam for today.
I wish I could afford to donate. I love Dutch so much. 😢
I guess this is a hot take lol but I don’t care for local talent squash matches, they don’t do anything for me and I typically skip over them
One of those security geeks may end up being a future world champion.
Who’s BURP Johnson? Lol
Now, this was another good episode
Carmelo Hayes and Andrade "that wasted the fans' emotional investment in that entire thing" there was no investment in those two, that was the problem from the start, LA Knight was the only thing that made it interesting

And Nick Nemeth is actually a good name for a wrestler anyway, that actually sounds intimidating
1:47:22 Just described the textbook jobber, Brooklyn Brawler. The GOAT.
The common dominator with the list is their physical stature and size.
each show could have a promo video that could be shared on social media and james could share on the wsi channel.
Would Bam Bam be considered a enhancement talent? Considering his career towards the end.
Brooklyn Brawler!
Stevie, what about "One guy goes over, one guy gets over" with the job guys? Specifically at 1:25:00 when you're talking about the match with Jim Powers and Scotty Riggs.
The Goon, aka Bill Irwin was another one that teetered between mid card and enhancement in the NWA territories.
I'll throw out Mike Jackson and Pat Rose as carpenters worth mentioning.
Mike Jackson... thanks for the reminder. Always pulled for him.
My granny always said, bless his heart every time we saw Mike Jackson in the ring on WTBS 605
Blackwell went into business himself, he had friends & family in the crowd and wanted to get offense in and look good instead of getting a traditional squash.
I was a massive fan of Lance in WCW, but it WWE he was barely around and used to take pinfalls. It was depressing after seeing him be glorious in WCW.
Maybe check the volume before you export the file? Good show!
