Can you maybe draw in another video how you envision this tree in 5 years if the grafts attach successfully? And I also didn’t understand why you removed the deadwood, did it have diseases? Nice video as always
The removed part is epoxy putty. The concept is to tilt it 90 ° sideways and turn the trunk into a gin. We also plan to use gin for the roots that pop out.
@@bonsai-shinshi uh now i got it, the epoxy was there to simulate deadwood? i have never seen something like this, you made the right choice for sure to remove it
I dont think it works on every species. Certain species take to different methods of propagation better than others. There are hundreds of species of pine so I would try googling the species you have in mind and going from there
thanks: to let the tool inside until the cutting comes in it, I Hope at least, this Tip which make the diffrence . recently I saw an article from Japan, were he let the cutting in his mouth (like Toothpick) to prevent for infections and drying out
I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. Thanks for sharing with us.
Great video. Nice grafts. Enjoyment & learning as always.

Amazing bonsai God joob my friend 👍
Hi Shinshi - love your videos. How did these grafts do this year?
Thank you for the English translation
Muchas gracias...como siempre aprendo mucho con sus videos!!!!😘🌿🌿🙏👍🌲🙋♀️

Thanks for the video! How long more or less you will leave the tape on the graft?
If this technique succeeds, it will break the vinyl by itself.
@@bonsai-shinshi that is really amazing. If it succeeds, about how long will it take to break through the grafting tape?
Hi, how are you? do you have any evolution? beautiful work, greetings from Argentina

Why there is epxicid on the deadwood ?
and why change de leaves?, kishu leaves are beautiful too
This is to make a small bonsai.
I don't know if what year did you make this but,,pls. Can you show this again in the future,,thank you
Kishu juniper is so underrated! But I like it very much, same as itoigawa!
This is because kishu leaves do not come together.
Fantastis bonsai

Hello again...can you tell us when to retire the plastic from the cutting? How long it takes normally to succeed?

Can I apply this method for all ficus plants ?
Me hubiera gustado ver el diseño final. Gracias por compartir.
Hay bastantes de esta opinión.
Hola maestro!!! Porque el ultimo injerto tan abajo? Gracias!!!
See y'all 5 yrs later.

Good job
Is there any advantage of the green cutting or the dark cutting. I see two dark and one green.
I think it's a great question.
This time I experimented with both of them.
It is expected that green will grow faster and will be easier to succeed.
@@bonsai-shinshi thanks. I am hoping to do my first graft of junipers this spring. I might try both types too.
いつもながら感心と感動をさせていただいております。この手法で対応できる種類の木を教えてくださいませんか。

松柏全般行けると思います。
キンズもこの方法で大丈夫です。

Where is the cambium?
I think it was connected.
What was the reason for the clay/cement on the tree for?
It was attached by the previous owner to make the bonsai look good.
Why make a branch come out of a root?
I also didn't get that. Why do they need branches so low at the trunk?
I think once the tree gets shortened to 20cm he might lower the soil line on the trunk also.
This is to make the tree height 20 cm.
Did you do this work this days? Ive always been said that this is better in january, or february.
This work was done on 4/11. You can do it from April to May.
@@bonsai-shinshi thank you!!
Does this method work on any pine species as well? I’ve only read/watched this graft done on junipers.

Use this method for pine trees.
pines work also-
nice👍

Thank you for your comment.
I couldn't see which way around you put the grafts which have a long and a short cut 😞
The long cut is on the trunk side.
