Sfiyah's Poem for International Day of Play

Play is a fundamental right; it builds resilience, instils confidence and helps children develop.
Play staff can make procedures quicker and more cost-effective by reducing the need for anaesthesia or sedation and improving recovery times.
But even where health play services exist in hospitals, the lack of play in the evenings and at weekends means children and their families can still be at risk of not getting the support they need.
