Hello, Please do so,If you don't probably no one will! And that is a shame to let this have come so far,an american icon, ainspiration to all guitar-players who came after him! Good that there are people like you.
Eddie's car crash a year after the plane crash that took B Holly , Valens & The Bopper yet Rock & Roll survived --- because of the talent these guys had blessed us with. Eddie Cochran had so much class !!
its sad that his grave is looking in a bad way... My Home town of Chipenham (UK) is where Eddie had his accident, a lovely memorial on the spot of the accident and we hold an annual Eddie cochran event ...so dont lose heart, Eddie is remembered and held within peoples hearts.
Thank-you for such a kind deed! We need more people in the world like YOU! Eddie's grave needs be kept up! I been a fan of Eddie since 1956! I will never forget him!!!!! P/S May all sunrises be bright in front of you and the shadows of darkness behind you!
I agree Eddie was the best . a pure hard rock and roller . and only 21 .when he died. Great guitarist. . the best .he achieved so much in his short life .never forgotten .god bless .Eddie .
Thanx for posting Jelly Bean, one of my EC faves that I haven't heard in way too long. Eddie died in a taxi in England on his way to a gig in Scotland in 1960. He is the first true guitar hero, rivaled in the day only by the great Chuck Berry.
Eddie knew the studio inside and out, he was basically a 'kid' who had it all figured out, he could play every instrument, overdubb yadda yadda yadda. Eddie had it all and may God Rest His Soul!!!!!
Yes brother you nailed it. Diversity and incredible skill set and in his teens. This young man broke boundary's for me hevtouched genius but I'm very biased . Ppl would see him a few weeks apart and he was better and better on guitar. I find his voice pure and utterly distinctive also. Rock yo ballad to blues HE WAS AND IS HEAVEN
This clip just went to my favs on The Tube---so young & talented-that plane crash.Real R&R fans will never forget them.Props to you who shines Eddies grave.
This is, in my opinion, one of Eddie Cochran's best recordings. When I became a fan, almost 30 years ago, there were about 70 Eddie Cochran songs extant, plus some live recordings, and I managed to collect all of them. Thanks for making this & posting it, it really rocks, well done
The hot rock vibe Eddie created is top level and always will be....it's seems this is what today's rock, or whatever some call it now, wishes it could feel like. Well, I'm old fashioned , I guess, but gold is gold forever.
Eddie rules!, he still sounds great & bloody refreshing to me. Surprised myself that i never heard this number before. His guitar solo is nearly the same as the one he did for Baker Knight on 'Just Relax'. Rock on!
How very nice that he is commerated on England. Here in the US I never heard anything about his padding I remember the day that Buddy Holly Richie Valens and the Big Bopper passed. I only found out about Eddie when I started watching you tube and didn't realize what a talent he was😢💞😭🧚🌷🙏🏻🏆🎸🎚️
Everything he did was great. Love Eddie Cochran and it is a pity that he isn't mentioned in the same conversation with other great rock and rollers. I have always thought that he was the best.
Eddie Cochran was in fact acting as a big brother to Gene Vincent who was a few years his senior. On one occasion Eddie had to coerce Gene who was rather shy in a concert."Hei,you Vincent, come out please."
Thanks Caylus1578, I just wish Eddie had lived to record a video for this rocking song! I have a ton of Eddie Cochran material I plan on posting, some material he was only 15 years old!!!!!! Thanks for your reply!
@glamfootrocker hail to you brother!! i would do the same... was in memphis last year and bill blacks grave was the same... we cleaned it right up... 50 years ago today eddie left us... never forget...
One of his best songs, I think. Darrel Higham has done a very good cover of it, with Deke Dickerson and his band (also here on youtube), but nice to hear the original; thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing this amazing pice of music, he was the best, I recognize this video from his "school days" performance. Never heard this recording, Iv´e got one from the cd "Rare n rockin" which sounds very different as I like to put it. 5 Stars jvnicks!
Cont...his writing and his producing. In any case, as his talents were so great, wherever he would have chosen to make his stand, he would have had a poor chance of not succeding.
1957 model of the Gretsch G6120 Chet Atkins. It's got a G brand, a cow head on the stock, and rectangular fret markers with western designs. He modded the pickup. Gretsch sells a replica.
mygypsynature. Yeah, from Albert Lea, close to IA border. Go there if you can. They have the Freeborn museum with som of Ed's stuff, among others, his black leather pants, checkered shirt, gold (or was it silver?) lamé west and black shoes (UK tour, NME poll winners concert, 1960). They also have every year, in June, a Eddie Cochran weekend with lotsa cars and ....Eddies music, of course. Been there once, in 2006. Great!
That concert was held just a few days after the plane crash that claimed the lives of Eddie Cochran's three closed friends Buddy Holly,Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper.Eddie, was so devasted by the trio's death that he recorded the song "Three Stars" as a tribute memory to them. But Eddie himself too was killed in a car crash at Chippenham England fifteen months later on 17 April 1960 after having completed a hectic British tour.
@79goldmaster1 I think we have The Beach Boys to thank for that, I don't know much about them, but weren't they doing just 3 chords until their Psychadelic period which they did because of, yes, The Beach Boys :)

I don't think a seatbelt helps if you meet a lamppost at high speed whilst the car is in a spin
Thank-you for such a kind deed!

One of his best songs, I think. Darrel Higham has done a very good cover of it, with Deke Dickerson and his band (also here on youtube), but nice to hear the original; thanks for sharing!

C' était quand même bien le rock de le fin des années 50.
La musique n' a plus jamais été la même après!
Du début
Классная песня!!!
J adore
Eddie could sang a song about mud and make it a hit, he could sang any thing.
Cont...his writing and his producing. In any case, as his talents were so great, wherever he would have chosen to make his stand, he would have had a poor chance of not succeding.

I'd love to!
hey coupe, I am uploading it now. I just put a video together. Amazing Eddie was just a kid when he recorded it (1955)!! ;)

What a Rocker. Capital 'R'. What would he have gone to do ?
This track could have been on JD McPherson's latest album. Awesome track.
Eddie the Artist, true R 'n R
The video is "Town Hall Party", not "Hail Hail Rock n Roll". Great dvd and worth buying. :)
you mean "Live Fast, Love Hard, Die Young"? I have it if that's the one! As soon as my eye clears up, I'll make a video for it!
This video clip is town hall party 1959
Toujour fan de ce morceau pas une ride.
In England but to London and airport, gettin' home to his family and friends.
So so sad
make my life with everlasting things killed at 21 so sad ,,
the song live "fast love hard die young" you got it? Never found it yet.
@glamfootrocker Did you manage it?....... ; )
If it weren't for the Beatles we would be still playing those same 3 chords.
a lot of Elvis in him
Or was there a lot of Eddie Cochran in Elvis?
MrOnomatopoiea I can see it in both....
good point though
Much more talented than Elvis Presley! Eddie Cochran was
THE Rockabilly Superman!
+HarryWebb46 you are right, we love him in Hungary too
Yay! I love you Hungarians, you have great taste!
+HarryWebb46
Harry, just one question, the band, are they Dick D´Agostin & The Swingers ?
I think so. They get introduced at the beginning.
no Elvis still the king... am sorry to write that but this is what I feel to know both
shoutout to SSG Davis, hooah?
1957、、☆
