Maybe at some point, but right now, I'm not even running my server anymore. I no longer need it, so I need to refresh myself on the whole process and get up to date for certain.
Hi @mickIntx, I have followed your on FusionPBX tutorial and it really helped me to setup my first PBX telephony system, I have just one custom requirement, Can you please tell me how can I add online mp3 or radio streaming from remote link on IVR click?
Is there a way we can point a whole bunch of number range to a certain action under DialPlans>Destinations? for example. if I want to point 10 DIDs 6132324330-6132324339 to a same action, let say a ring group, how do I do that? I can do it by adding 10 individual destinations but can I do something like number manipulation 613232433X, or 613232433[0-9]?
Good !! Any chance of a video using WireGuard in order to " bridge" an "on Premises" IPPBX with Cloud IPPBX ? Using same VPS Server on Cloud as VPN Server ? too much to ask ?
Hey Brian, I was just getting started with Fusion and wanted to know what ports I need to open on my home network to use this and also do you have a tutorial on how to set this up using NGIX Proxy manager. I already have NGX running in my home setup but I am not sure what port Fusion uses in the backend which is limiting my ability to move forward with a local instance. I did install Fusion on a VPS for testing, everything went great as far as the installation is concerned but for some reason I can only access the webgui(non secured access) via the IP only and not the FQDN that I had setup with my service provider to route to the VPS server IP address. This also results in my softphones not connecting to my Fusion server instance since I am using FQDN for registration in the sip client. Any help will be appreciated. Have a good one.
It's been a long time since I made this, but I would suggest checking out their documentation for all of the ports. I know for SIP you'll need 5060 (unless you changed that in settings somewhere). As for the rest, I belive there are several port ranges you'll need to open and forward in order for everything to function properly. Instead of listing all the ranges, here's a link to their docs that should give you what you need. docs.fusionpbx.com/en/latest/firewall.html
@@AwesomeOpenSource Thank you for your response, Brian. I did check that doc and it does have the port I need to open but then I was not able to find any doc on how to configure this with NGIX PM. Secondly, I was able to get the domain access enabled on the test VPS using CloudFlare dashboard. The problem that I am currently running into is that none of my SIP clients are able to talk to this newly installed server. The registration keeps failing and I am not sure why. The source IP is not blocked in F2Ban nor I have firewall running on my test VPS. SO not sure what's gng on and where to start. On the other hand, if I may ask what self hosted VoIP solution do you use for yourself? If it difficult to setup? Some ppl recommended using 3CX but I don't think they are 100% open source. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks again! Have a nice day.
Indeed. I'm sure I meant it, and didn't say it right. I definitely make mistakes...maybe we should start a drinking game from my mistakes...except I'm worried no one would ever get through a video.
Keep up the great work! Any change of a part 4 tutorial, say on NAT and internal extensions collaborating external softphone apps on mobile phones?

Hi
@mickIntx,
I have followed your on FusionPBX tutorial and it really helped me to setup my first PBX telephony system,
I have just one custom requirement, Can you please tell me how can I add online mp3 or radio streaming from remote link on IVR click?
I don't really know how you would do that. I've not tried it, but it may be in their documentation somewhere.
I know this is way old but you missed out on the hardest to understand (FOR ME) the Dial plan. Any chance of going over that?
Is there a way we can point a whole bunch of number range to a certain action under DialPlans>Destinations?

I believe you can use regular expressions to accomplish this, but I wouldn't know the specific regular expression syntax.
is this reliable for a business to use? Any sound quality issues?
I've been using my install for 4 years now, and I use it for my main job, and no issues that I can think of.

Definitely moving outside my realm of knowledge and expertisew with that one.
Is there an easy way to play moh during the ivr announcement?

PLEASE HOW CAN I INSTALL FUSION PBX ON VMWARE ?
I don't use VMWare, but I'd say start with a VM of Ubuntu or Debian, and go from there with my tutorial.
I think you mean Integrated Voice Response System

@@AwesomeOpenSource IVR - Interactive Voice Response or Interactive Voice Recognition, haven't heard of Integrated so far. Cheers :)
Voicecall sip trunk can’t find website I guess it does not work anymore
It may not. This video is pretty old now. I'll be doing some new PBX stuff for the Building a Business series down the road, so keep an eye out.
