It’s funny you say Yves is like Heejin.. Yves said recently that her and Heejin (and sometimes Lip) have a friendly rivalry where they keep pushing each other in terms of dance, vocals and performance. It’s what inspired Heejin to really get into crazy good shape during “so what” era (which improved her dancing tremendously- strong core). Yves and Heejin go back and forth as the best dancers in the group, but most dancers rank Heejin higher at this point. They really both are aces though.
I think between Heejin and Yves it's a case of who's a better idol dancer and dancer in general, Heejin has more charisma in terms of expressions and body language while Yves is more technically polished and stronger with her lines, guess that's the great part of Loona that they have more than just a couple couple great dancers
This is such a cool healthy thing too! They are actually pretty different dancers but both so talented! I would agree with hal below. I think Yves is more fluid in her movement where Heejin has more power too. There is such a diversity in styles in Loona!

These set of solos are definitely my favorites due to the overarching theme of self, especially if you go back and read the lyrics combined with the MVs' symbolisms. Yves's New shows herself discovering and accepting her new identity as the song goes on. Chuu's video can be seen as someone can finally find true love/acceptance once they actually accept themselves first instead of just copying who they admire. Go Won's whole song is about self love and has one of my favorite lyrics of all time: "In this universe, it's not a coincidence I met myself" Olivia Hye's song is a really interesting take on the concept as it is self love through anger, realizing your worth after experiencing something tragic. I love all the previous solos, but these definitely cemented to me that this group was something special as back when these initially came out, not many other Kpop songs were really centered around these topics. Loona has definitely shown a lot of originality over these years which is so refreshing in this genre.
You're well spoken! I would say you are 100% right! In Chuu's this is especially true when she finally bites the apple that she's been trying to give Yves. You need to love yourself FIRST. So beautiful. I do now see this in all of the songs as I have gone back a few times! Without details I've recently started to put my self first and it was only after some very hard times that did involve a lot of anger so I really resonate with it. I love them all so much but I've loved yyxy the most. Loona is special to me now and I am thankful to them and to all of you!
