    This whole thing is made up. The dress was owned by Ruth Muskrat Bronson. That much is true. She had the dress and moccasins specially made for her meeting with Calvin Coolidge to advocate for Indian rights. There is a picture of her with Calvin Coolidge and other influential people. But the great niece's name who had the dress is Jennifer Loren. Ruth Muskrat Bronson was from the Cherokee tribe, not Navajo (Dineh). The dress and moccasins and the picture with her wearing them were shown on Antiques Roadshow in 2020. The appraiser valued them at $8,000 - $12,000. The family in 2023 donated the items to the Cherokee National Research Center in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

    Another fake story. Calvin Coolidge served as the 30th President of the United States from 1923 to 1929. Thrift stores were rare, far and few between back then.
