    I am in a metric world, changed from British standards to SI standards in 1961. It was daunting. But as a pilot youR altitude is in feet (a few countries in meters) which is the standard, runway length is in feet, sometimes meters, passenger fuel loads is n kilogram, small planes in gallons, then there is Imperial and US gallons that differs. I do woodwork in millimeters, youtube most of it in feet and inches.... Now how many millimeters is 1/64" ? Its crazy. All my sympathy.
