I enjoy listening to James talk more than I enjoy listening to his music, and I love LCD. This guy is lobbing him the most regular questions of all time and he's hitting them all out of the park.

James is my favorite artist. So glad we got to hear from him. Its been too long.

I love how James always explains abstract concepts through concrete comparisons, such as the man doing "delicate work" with shaky hands to explain his creative process. If you listen there are multiples examples of this throughout the interview-- a true sign of first-rate intelligence.

Just started watching James Murphy interviews and I recently discovered Gregory Crewdson's photography. The fact that this exists is kind of unreal. Great conversation nonetheless

-he goes from talking about seeing David Bowie on records as a child- to being and working in the studio with Bowie

Geez, time flies. I remember finding out about LCD soundsystem back in late 2009 when I was 15, they dropped This Is Happening soon after which had me absolutely hooked and is still one of my fav albums to this day. Eleven years later I still have not seen them live, hope they come to Brasil again. Back in '18 or 17 they came for Lollapalooza in São Paulo, but I didn't have the money to go to another state since I live in Rio and also Lolla is too expensive. Would be awesome if they cold make a concert in some of the smaller venues we have in Rio.

I like the way James equates things to other things to better explain. “This thing is like this thing, in that…”

Dude, you've got ADHD. So have I. Didn't find out 'til my early 40s. Also I'm in the (much) youngest of 4 catholic family club (not ADHD connected ..!)

So gracious of James to go along with those asinine questions. Maybe get someone who actually cares about music and audio and art, next time?..

Why? I like the beauty of questions of someone perhabs not to proficient in musicianship asking general questions about aestetic, the origins of which transcend the medium or technique
