Can't believe a guy good with zangief like this couldn't take out vega he almost lost to Vega. Sagat is an ass with zangief cuz you can't duck his tiger hadouken as the bosses are a walk in the park except for sagat well when I play with zangief that is and I've beaten best ranked player in the world in street fighter online but he did win rivalry and doesn't want to play me when im matched with him lol

This was the first video games my friends and truly went Gaga over. We would spend hours in an arcade playing it. I bet it’s the last truly great arcade game.
I take it you never tried any of Sega's arcade cabinets? They had the most advanced tech in the market for a very long time. Virtua Fighter 2 looked like it was about 10 years ahead of anything we'd ever seen when it came out and that was just one example off the top of my head.
@@Longlostpuss 10 years ahead? what??? in 1994 the arcade was already in decline, as PC graphics took over (and a little later joined by consoles like playstation.) In 1994 , virtual fighter 2 was still impressive, but not 10 years a ahead, as those other platforms would catchup in 1-2 years. And by the time of Xbox and PS2 almost nobody went to arcade halls anymore and they died off, only some nostalgia is left these days
@@Blackadder75 Please name me a fighting game that looked, played and moved better than Virtua Fighter 2 on home consoles or PC, or any other arcade for that matter? To my mind, the only game that beat it was its successor VF3 a couple of years or so later. But even then, Virtua Fighter 2 continued to look impressive I'd say until Dead or Alive 2 came out, which wasn't until 2001, so pretty close to that decade I suggested.
@@Longlostpuss a) I wasn't talking about fighting games exclusively, but games in general. b) your claim was not that VF2 was better than any other game in 1994 (which I agree to) but that it was 10 years ahead.. which obviously is an exaggeration. c) looked, played and moved better are subjective criteria. you might think that 90s 3d fighters are (or were) the best ever, but other people don't like that play style , or don't like that style of graphics. Personally I was never impressed by such games, but I did like some other 1994 games like Daytona USA. (Also SEGA) For me that looks much better than VF2. @@Blackadder75 @Blackadder75 That's cool, I just challenged the author's original statement that SF2 was the last truly great arcade game and my view was that it was far from it, there were plenty of other ones and arguably better. Don't get it twisted, I absolutely loved SF2 when it first dropped and still do now, but what he said was typical of alot of people who tend to get overexcited and overrate one particular game, especially if they came from that generation, because surely their horizons were far broader than just SF2. We were absolutely flooded with quality around that time. For example, TMNT Arcade 1989 is one of my personal favourites, nothing will beat the great memories and fun times I had of that game when it came out in terms of an arcade experience, but I would never say something as ridiculous as it's the last truly great arcade game.
