I moved my family to Alaska in 1996 and have lived here ever since. Of course I had to see this movie with them in theaters when it came out. And the whole "free money" thing is true. It is called the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend or P.F.D. and ranges from around just under $1,000 to $3,000 annually per person, (including infants and children), simply for having lived in Alaska for the full previous year as a year-round resident, with some allowances made for travel.
Having seen the trailer for this movie all the time, I remember upon seeing it the first time, I was pleasantly surprised to find it was genuinely fun movie to watch, it even got a couple chuckles out of me
They have Lenny calling about the free donuts and them going fast to give Homer a reason to dump the pig silo instead of him deciding he doesn't want to wait in line, as for why he didn't go get the donuts then drop off the pig silo, some pointed out the possibility of him still dumping it but it being accidentally(like he bends down to pick up a dropped donut, he makes a sharp turn then the silo falls off the car, down the hill and into the lake) it works better if he does it deliberately cos then we don't got no reason to side with him.
I worked for Electronic Arts testing the Simpsons videogame when this movie was coming out we were given a special sneak viewing before anyone else I miss QA Testing got paid to play videogames and hangout with my friends 🤘
That's what marriage is all about, the vows are for better or worst. If marge can remain faithful and loyal after all that homer started. You can survive anything, when you get married.
I really love this film, but I love the TV show too Its about balance, Homer and Flanders are polar opposites and just as bad an influence on the kids. There is a lot of truth in it They may be dysfunctional, but they love each other If you watch the TV cartoons, you'll love it Maggie, the baby, is the more intelligent I like Family Guy, but I love the Simpsons The TV show is till on in the UK, brings you back to the real world after a day at work! I love your reactions, ladies, you look at things in a different way and I love it❤❤ (Its why I subscribe)
Simpsons actual has heart vs family guy is just jokes. And this movie isn't even an emotional episode. They have some really great stories they tell. My personal favorite is Homer talking about when Marge is pregnant with Maggie to his kids. They are barely getting by and another kid would be too much. It revolves around Homer having to sacrifice his dreams and seemingly depressed the whole episode. But at end of episode he goes to work at his job he hates still seemingly depressed. But has a big reveal as he has a smile on his face as he has pictures of his kids and that is what motivates him to keep working hard for his kids.
Honey, there are over 30 seasons of the simpsons. U should at least watch one season. That way you would understand the family a little better than this movie.
The Simpsons are old school that's why I like them better than Family Guy. They're also a little bit more appropriate(not much) so, I let my kid watch with me. But, I had to remind her also that it was a just a cartoon. She basically didn't get the jokes until she was older, but she loved Homer.
Please Watch Soul Man (2008) Barbershop: The Next Cut (2016) Little Man (2006) Fast 10 (2023) Creed 3 (2023) The Fighting Temptations (2003) The Longest Yard (2005) The Marine (2006)
If you haven’t seen a full episode of the Simpsons then there’s a lot of jokes and references you’ll probably miss. Originally it was more of a satire of the perfect family portrayed in 1980s family sitcoms.
Compared to the iconic series, season 1-17, the movie you just watched is a weak trash… The series, after season 17 (~when the movie appeared) (also) actually got unbearabe. > I concider to watch the series, at least the yearly ˋHalloween Special‘ episodes. There they set standards for most of todays sitcoms. - A Simpsons-Connaisseur from Munich : )
Julie Kavner deserves an Oscar for making Homer and Marge's six millionth breakup actually feel serious
Apparently she did 50 + (forget the actual number) takes and in the end they went with the 2sd take
The mouse and cat are named Itchy and Scratchy who tends to have cartoon violence like Tom & Jerry only with more violent scenes.
Never gets old about the Simpsons movie
I agree

This book doesn’t have any answers!
You need to see more of Itchy and Scratchy (the Simpsons' parody of Tom and Jerry) in order to understand the opening scene.
Thanks I needed that it's been a long day keep up the excellent work 👍
9:42 homer has done much worse but still been forgiven

That was the itchy and scratchy show at the beginning.

It's been awhile since I've seen the Simpsons but I didn't realize it had so much physical violence. I enjoyed this. First time seeing.
Such clever writers.

the amount of ads in this video

These reactors have a very "different" humour and thinking.

Idiot.
I watched the Simpsons from the beginning, and I love the Simpsons movie. It’s not quite as good as the South Park movie, but it is very good.
