So in a nutshell. Replace your exhaust and keep the bike maintained?? Also with a compression ratio of just 9.5 to 1 you do not need to run 91. In fact it should run better on the lower octane fuels.
Dont submerge my ATV ,especially not enough to get dirt in it…brakes always kept in check (SRA) …I use ethanol free gas with octane boost and a little deep creep ( occasionally) to keep fuel stable….dont want a louder exhaust..I hunt with it…maintenance is the best cure for not losing HP…
The seals on those straight axle brake shoes leak all the time and muddy water ruins the brakes you can convert it to disc on the front not sure about the back i never use my brakes the front is 90%of your stopping power anyways
I’ve never converted the back to disc but it’s something I might do sometime in the future. The fronts are already disc brakes on the rancher. Thanks for watching!

Very important question that I hope you can give a good answer to... I had an HMF Exhaust ordered earlier this year for my 2020 Honda Rubicon 520 DCT Deluxe. Then someone told me I wouldn't be able to go in water up to/over the muffler and if water got into the muffler at any point then the entire machine would shut off. On a call with HMF they basically confirmed this. I ride in water A LOT. The Rubicon never breaks a sweat in water (no matter how deep) so far. I don't want to pay extra for something if I have to give that ability up. Is this true? And if so is that way you put a snorkel extension on yours? I cancelled my order because of this but I've always wanted that HMF pipe on mine :/
Hey! To answer your question about the HMF exhaust… I’ve had Hondas straight piped and with HMF exhaust and both ways they will idle under water once the quad is adjusted to the temperature of the water. The only problem that I’m having with the HMF exhaust is that the packing in the muffler, after about a year of water riding, needs to be replaced already. In some of our other videos, you’ll notice a Honda Foreman that is straight piped and I never had trouble with it either. The only reason I have stacks on mine is because I ride in a lot of muskeg and when I would back up in a bad hole it would plug the muffler off. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
I'd like to get a programmer for my 2020 rubicon too. I can only find the dynojet one (it's on fortnines site) and I dont like that one, I want the basic cheap one that's easy to adjust. I noticed a lack of power on mine and checked the muffler, my spark arrester was plugged with mud. A 3/8 drill bit fixed it in minutes, I drilled 3-4 holes in it and it runs like new again.
Yes, after the second ride they didn’t work anymore anyways because they were so packed with mud. However, there is a drum brake delete kit that you can buy so that you can still use the back brakes. Thanks for watching!
I know guys with up to 18k on their Foreman that have never adjusted anything. And one guy only changed his oil once and it’s still running mint. If you don’t hear ticking, you don’t need to adjust them. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
hey man can you tell me about the brake delete, i cant piece what it could be together unless you mean the entire brake assembly on the rear axle for clearance
Buddy, it’s called a spark ARRESTER.
I just got a 2023 Honda Rancher foot shift model, loving it. What exhaust did you put on yours? Great videos! New subscriber, thanks!

91 is still a good idea as it seems to run better on it and for sure maintenance helps. 👍 I also have a big gun tuner on mine.

A slip on saves a few pounds but is restricted by the head pipe and air filter,it doesn’t add power

I have a 2024 rancher and if you put a new exhaust on what needs to be done to support it. Tuning or anything like that?
You don’t have to tune it but you won’t really see any horse power gain unless you do.

Question,,, WHAT DOES THE BREAKS HAVE TO DO WITH THE THING HAVING MORE POWER???? MAKES NO SENSE
If your breaks are all plugged up with mud, you are going to lose power 😏
Rolling resistance

Yah I can’t find a tuner for the solid axle. Apparently they are different.
Good idea! Thanks for watching!
Spark arrestor , not resistor
True that ✌️
I've got a 2018 Rancher 4x4 irs and want to put 27" tires with 14" aluminum alloy rims. Do I need to do GR (gear reduction)?? Would love your advice!
No you’ll be fine. Anything bigger you might want to think about it but 27” is a good number. 😎
does it not idle under water with the after market exhaust and no tuner ?
No mine does idle under water. 👍

So who’s do you find has the best premium fuel in the peace country? I personally use blue wave card lock premium 94 octane
I’ve never been able to find anything better than 91! Where is Blue Wave card lock?
Closest to you would be in peace river we have one in Grande Praire
But not sure if the peace river branch carries premium you would have to call them if not I can hook you up with some if you come to gp

Dealership told me not to run synthetic oil or il blow the engine unless he meant not to run synthetic in a new engine
As long as you run something approved for the clutches you should be fine.
I just bought a 2024 honda foreman 520 ....my question is how long can I go before it needs its valves adjusted????

Hey! Yah I gutted my entire brake assembly on the rear axle due to the fact that it was so plugged up with mud it wasn’t working anyways.
Is the storage box from crappy tire or princess auto?
Home hardware actually 😂
Use ethanol free 92
Yah that’s what I try to run 😁✌️
Ethanol free gas doesn't increase HP. It's better for the engine and increases MPG but that's it.
Too high of octane on lower compression motors actually looses power
Excellent video.
Thanks!
Great tips
Thanks! 😃
