I myself had to do most of them as DPS to keep us barely alive, especially the bomb placements. 2 different groups as well with the same thing. Tam-tam Deepcroft (Hard) - People forget how to do the bosses mechanics of letting the aoe kill zombies for you. Cutter's Cry - People forget the adds before the first boss hurt like heck and can/will kill you if your not ready for it. Or I get people that either want to run/sprint the areas before the second boss or want to do them, but others have already ran away leaving someone behind. Oh, and don't forget the countless times I have mentioned in party chat before the final boss, blue out purple in, to see people constantly die to Ram's or Dragon's voice. If you're looking for 4 mans that kill people: The remake to the last boss of The Aetherochemical Research Facility has been killing lots of sprouts from what I have seen.
The Seat of Sacrifice was a complete nightmare for me the first time. The first group I was in were all first timers including me so... yeah... We ended up playing full time out. We did, however, manage to see all of the mechanics so at least there was that. I do still think Chrysalis trial is by far the worst.
Im always so bad at the alexander mechanics. I never spent much time doing this sync when it was the most current content so now when i get it as a roulette i totally play like a sprout lol.
If you want dungeon disasters, some lvl50 hard mode dungeons are a treat: they went for mechanics instead of damage checks, so overgearing is not going to save you. Halatali Hard can be a nightmare for sure.
One Eden Raid that brings back memories is Eden's Verse: Iconoclasm and how so many people tend to mess up the Color Beams. And for dungeons as a returning player the worst one for me so far was The Dead Ends particularly the second boss.
16:42 it wasn't the fight's mechanics that killed the DRK ; they popped Invuln. Youre correcft about the full heal thing, but it wasnt his HP Cut that did it
It's probably better now, but ever since they changed the last boss in the Aetherochemical Research Facility both new players and returning players who weren't yet aware of the changes often die there. Or also some players who are aware since it's a bit harder than usual for a lv60 dungeon.
I just got A11 from Normal Raid Roulette on Primal and after like 2-3 wipes (1 due to both healers dieing to the ATE and the other 1-2 to Propeller Wind) we finally got through it after a abandon duty never got passed and a tank left that left me to tank it solo (I never noticed until after I pulled) but we done it 1 man short with 7/8.
I messed up that QTE twice in a row my first time through. Confused me for a moment, because previous ones had filled, and this one drains. Noticed at one point that the bar moved real fast if you held a key. Thought I had figured out a trick. Trick was, the bar drained fast, causing the second fail.
One time i did SoS and my keyboard smash just started opening literally every menu instead of going toward the QTE so it's not necessarily just being terrible; hasn't happened to me aince but it was jarring
sit on home row (indexes on the f and j keys) and mash the rest position keys, that's more than enough key presses and it doesn't start opening the menu
It is not just Materia. That's one of the fights I have a macro for because people do not remember which is stay in his lane, and which is be on the side.
The issue with the ARR non-MSQ levelling dungeon is that the only requirement for them is being a high enough level. Doesn't matter if you've done your class quests, doesn't matter if you've gotten to a specific point in the MSQ quests... and it doesn't matter if you have appropriate gear for that level (and if they do, it could potentially be a tank with all mage gear). So it's theoretically possible to have a run of the Temple of Qarn with a level 35 Marauder who hasn't progressed their class quests to level 15 to get Tomahawk and is only wearing low level mage gear. One of the major reasons why I'm baffled that they haven't made all duties from Brayflox Longstop onwards require a Jobstone when queuing through Duty Finder.
I, personally, have had a situation when leveling an alt of having Gladiator at sufficient level for Paladin, have done all my class quests so I *can* unlock the Job Stone, have Tank-appropriate gear, but haven't reached the point in the MSQ that unlocks the Job Stone yet... and then get thrown into Qarn in a Leveling Roulette. And it went disastrously. People were *mad* at me but it wasn't my fault that the game dropped me in there. I just hadn't known to *not* unlock the dungeon until *after* I'd gotten the job stone.
LMAO. Havent touched XIV since 6.0, but man I remember taking friends that were new to the game through Qarn normal. Good ole Doombeast. We wouldnt tell them about the doom mechanic the first time lol. One of many 2.0 rites of passage.
"Are these tanks fighting for aggro on [insert enemy here]? I think they might be." >.> they are. I've been tanking too much at this point for the achievement mounts, and it doesn't matter who called being MT cause the OT will fight for it anyway. Personally annoys the crap out of me. This went way better than I expected though! Except during Ratfinx boosted slams. I 100% expected at least 1 or 2 people to die to it. xD Edit: I somewhat take it back. I didn't imagine people not monkey punching the bombs on the second go.
Even more annoying when you ask "you wanna MT?" and they don't reply so you stance up and then they stance up and start shield lobbing (yes I'm saying shield lobbing cause the sound of shield lob gives me PTSD from paladins doing this so often).
@@Scerttle I don't even bother to ask most of the time cause I assume the other tank will just charge in immediately (I really should be asking though). I feel your pain though, but with warriors and their tomahawks from recent memory for me.
Hey MH, on the Warrior of Light fight at about 17:30, you can instead of clicking on the button actually just spam a key on your keyboard like I use my space bar and find it MUCH easier to handle the ATBs that way cause clicking on that while ensuring your mouse doesn't move really sucks imo.

@@xBluki yeah nobody seems to know the mechanic, and the off tank tends to always sniff glue and not be able to move the stronger add accordingly, so frustrating when it happens X)
Stunning Doom is one of my favorite things to do as either Tank OR Melee DPS. Teaming with friends, we compete for it, teaming with randos, it confuses and impresses them. Win-Win.
Reminder.. if your healers drop a dome..
Stand in the goddamn dome. If you die because you did not stand in the dome, that's on you.
He also hallows Caster LB. Also His hallowed ground doesn't have a CD, he'll do it rapidly in succession if you try multiple time. Tested it lmao
I love this series Mr Happy.
Tam Tara Hard, Haukke Manor Hard, Cutter's Cry, and Pharos Sirius can all be good 4 mans for getting wipes.
Last boss on Neverreap always gets people
I have not once gone into that dungeon and not had people legit forget it exists or just be unlocking it for the first time
Alphascape v3 and Eden's Verse: Fulmination were my most raid wipey experiences.
heroes gauntlet is another 4 man you can do. i’ve seen so many people die to the last boss lol
For me the worst 4 man is dohn meg, somehow that first wall to wall pull kills everyone almost every time I run it.
Ive had a party in SoS that failed the button mash FIVE TIMES... 😂
Haukke Manor Hard.....God forbid you get an over zealous SAM on your team😂
LOL... It's been what, eight years since Alexander? I've NEVER seen the enrage on that from someone standing in the puddle.
Pretty sure the transforms wear off after a certain amount of time, so if you trigger them early they might wear off before you're done with them.
Diamond weapon might be fun with the platform hopping
The chasing AOEs always have a chance to be run right through the party.
I got seat of sacrifice in a trial roulette once and someone failed the button mashing three times in a row.
i'll suggest The Weeping City of Mhach. Oh the mega death memes.. makes me laugh every time. never a clean run
they overcharged his twinkledinks (thanks nest)
I feel like one of the harder PF dungeons is Pharos Sirius. The first boss hits like a truck.
I had a nightmare last night that I was playing xiv, and I kept wiping as healer on aetherochemical research facility, on the last boss where the balls touch.
If you're looking for 4 mans that kill people: The remake to the last boss of The Aetherochemical Research Facility has been killing lots of sprouts from what I have seen.
I really enjoy these. Roulette is such good fun lol Thanks for the video!
The lv50 dungeon Stone Vigil (Hard) specifically the second boss Cuca Fera :) you know the one with the cannons
Elidibus uses Hallowed if you LB him outside of a cast? I had no idea, that's cool
The lost city of Amdapor last boss can be the cause of a lot of wipes as well as a9n.
The Seat of Sacrifice was a complete nightmare for me the first time. The first group I was in were all first timers including me so... yeah... We ended up playing full time out. We did, however, manage to see all of the mechanics so at least there was that.
I do still think Chrysalis trial is by far the worst.
22:10 wow I didn't know that, that's so cool
Im always so bad at the alexander mechanics. I never spent much time doing this sync when it was the most current content so now when i get it as a roulette i totally play like a sprout lol.
Really enjoying these disaster contents. Hilarious, and entertaining. Glad you're doing well, and keep up the great content as you always do!
I'm glad you do these on Primal so the world can know what true suffering looks like. #primalgang
suffering is sitting in a dynamis queue knowing full well you will never know the sound of a queue pop
These videos are so good keep up the good work!
You should try Pharos Sirius, people always die in the first pool or in the first 2 bosses
If you want dungeon disasters, some lvl50 hard mode dungeons are a treat: they went for mechanics instead of damage checks, so overgearing is not going to save you. Halatali Hard can be a nightmare for sure.
I still vote for Haukke Hard. Last boss usually leads to wipes.
This has my vote. Question is, does he contribute to causing the wipe?
the correct timing for the tank LBs is when the countdown hits 4 seconds
Bizarrely, SoS has no countdown.
Based on the 3.3 restrospec, Weeping City of Mhach would be a fun one. see how many die to 2nd boss
One Eden Raid that brings back memories is Eden's Verse: Iconoclasm and how so many people tend to mess up the Color Beams. And for dungeons as a returning player the worst one for me so far was The Dead Ends particularly the second boss.
Did I miss the Chrysalis? Because if not….it needs to be on one of these.
16:42 it wasn't the fight's mechanics that killed the DRK ; they popped Invuln. Youre correcft about the full heal thing, but it wasnt his HP Cut that did it
that tanks a pld, the living dead icon IS the mechanic (you can see the summoner that dies has it too) and it kills through invuln
OK, these videos are wonderful. Gave me a good smile.
My favorite thing about fist of the son is watching a new tank just get the shit punched out of them
Edit: 14:07 yeah that
It's probably better now, but ever since they changed the last boss in the Aetherochemical Research Facility both new players and returning players who weren't yet aware of the changes often die there. Or also some players who are aware since it's a bit harder than usual for a lv60 dungeon.
Hell's Kier with a DDR pad. It just makes sense.
saw the title and didnt wanna click on it, glad you changed it
I just got A11 from Normal Raid Roulette on Primal and after like 2-3 wipes (1 due to both healers dieing to the ATE and the other 1-2 to Propeller Wind) we finally got through it after a abandon duty never got passed and a tank left that left me to tank it solo (I never noticed until after I pulled) but we done it 1 man short with 7/8.
good ol' twinkledinks. had a run a couple weeks ago where i was MT and we wiped like 5 times before people finally figured out what to do lol
I feel so attacked for not knowing any mechanics in this game ever 😂
Haukke manot hard is the real 4 man challenge
My votes are for A9 and A11. Good ol' garbage dump and Cruise Chaser are ALWAYS a great time on roulette...
Legitimately can't wait until they ship Magic Spoon to Australia...
i hope they dont change Qarn temple cause despite of the level, Qarn temple is really fun especially when healing or tanking
The only dungeon I can think of that people might have a rough time with is the burn because of the last boss, maybe the final dungeon of 5.0/6.0
E4n should be a good one because at least when I get it in roulette I see a lot of people die but that could just be Materia.
Alexander - The Eyes of the Creator is the worst. I guarantee you, no one know how to do the Faust mechanic
"Are these tanks fighting for aggro on [insert enemy here]? I think they might be."
>.> they are. I've been tanking too much at this point for the achievement mounts, and it doesn't matter who called being MT cause the OT will fight for it anyway. Personally annoys the crap out of me.
This went way better than I expected though! Except during Ratfinx boosted slams. I 100% expected at least 1 or 2 people to die to it. xD
Edit: I somewhat take it back.
Good place for this general PSA to controller players for that button mashing on SoS, use both the d-pad and the face buttons. It makes it WAY easier.
You 100% need to do Eyes of the Creator. I almost always have issues with people not handling adds or killing us with the Faust
Crazy how in 2023, and people STILL cant swipe bombs away Lmao
