  • Part 3 of the Which Grass is Which? series focuses on the identification of 22 nuisance grass species in Illinois, such as those commonly found on roadsides and in other disturbed areas. While we may not want to see these grasses out in the field, it’s important to know how to tell them apart from more desirable species.
This webinar was originally recorded on October 2, 2020.

Hi Erin... I have foraging grass for my Guinea Pigs and what we have here locally in Northern Ontario that grows wild off the side walks is Timothy, Kentucky Bluegrass, Canadian Bluegrass, Canadian Bluejoint, Quackgrass... and Yellow Foxtail. The most abundant is the yellow (I have been calling it "Golden Foxtail" - I watched this video and now corrected) The Yellow Foxtail is the easiest to get the most abundant however it seems to have the most disease... I am trying to identify the diseases ... The leaves have bumps on the underside "Nodules" and sometimes have white spots on leaves as well - I have taken pictures of it - do you know how I can identify theses diseases?
