    if anyone is wondering. The skins bumper fits dam near perfect on a 2019 sks 146. The 146 tunnel is a 144 tunnel I believe.

    Wow, that looks deadly! I think the PDP low pro led brake light would look great on there. A lime seat bracket and the 2017 LE lime seat cover would really finish it off.

      Thanks! Lime squeeze seat bracket is on now! I’ll definitely keep an eye out for seat cover.

    Great job ! I’m thinking I’m might do a tunnel cut on my 2021 850 Khaos after this season.

    Hay can you tell me any feedback about this shinz bumper?
    Thanks

      I really like it. Has lots of support down the sides of the tunnel while still being light weight. Also the back part angles up so it is easy to grab the bumper and lift the end of the sled even if you are wearing gloves and the back end is trenched down and stuck or something.

    Has your track hit the hose protector underneath? It’s lower than the oem tunnel

      Doesn’t seem to be an issue. Even with the suspension fully compressed right to the bump stops it doesn’t touch.

    Have you added coolant and tested for leaks yet? I tried the same kit on my sled, followed instructions to a T, and still had leaks. I noticed your inserts were very tight, as were mine, and I think that may have displaced the epoxy causing the leak!

      Yes filled it back up and hear cycled it several times. No leaks and good to go. I’ll let you know though if issues develop but seems mint.

      I have one on mine. It started seeping last week. Cr racing in Canada is modifying their aluminum cooler to fit my sled for me and then I’ll have it welded in place. I’m not looking forward to pulling the mtntk crossover out and cleaning up all the epoxy. 😬

      I ended up cutting an additional inch off just below the inserts and I throw the mtntk kit in the garbage! Found a local shop to weld the old crossover piece back In for me, good as new now

      @@danp9164 that's pretty much what I'm doing. I don't have the old crossover as I bought the sled used so I'm having a part fabricated and then it will be welded in place. I don't want to have to worry about it leaking again in a year or two.

    How is it been working? Any leaks or problems with this set? Wondering to order this.. my 146" sks would look sick with this 😍 and also behave little different 😎

      No issues with it whatsoever so far. No leaks and you can 100% notice the reduced drag when you are in deep snow or sidehilling.

    Do you recall what size the rivets are? I need to buy some so I can put the bumper back on.

    • @themediocregarage
      @themediocregarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are 3/16” rivets by about 5/8 long or possibly 3/4 long.

    Hey awesome video. How much coolant did you put in after you cut the tunnel?

    • @themediocregarage
      @themediocregarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not a whole lot less than before I cut it. I did add the Boondocker belly pan cooler so that took some additional coolant too.

    Can i bother you with a measurement of the bumper total length. Much appreciated.

    • @themediocregarage
      @themediocregarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Total length is 31 inches. However as you can see the front end of the bumper goes under the back of the running board by 5 inches. So it is only 26 inches from the back of the running board to the back of the bumper.
