    Great video! I grew up around Apple IIs and after delivering hundreds of newspapers, mowing dozens of lawns, and asking for money for two Christmases and birthdays, finally bought a brand new Apple IIGS. Your restored keyboard and mouse looked like the ones that I took fresh out of the box all those years ago. Beautiful work! Keep up the memerizing content. :-)

    • @The8BitGuy

    • @johnDingoFoxVelocity
      @johnDingoFoxVelocity 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have heard people doing that the video power input is only 5 volts on it at least thats the rumor

    • @The8BitGuy
      @The8BitGuy  9 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      john m - Well the most important thing is that apparently the video signal is compatible with DVI or HDMI. So all that is needed is to cut the wires and create a custom adapter to the HDMI port on the Raspberry Pi. The one reason I keep thinking about NOT doing the G4 though is that the Raspberry Pi is technically slower than the G4 already in there. So I've been thinking of maybe putting an Intel NUC inside of there or something.

    • @ArianKordi
      @ArianKordi 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      The iBookGuy The raspberry pi has more MODERN hardware, though, and a lot more support for applications like web browsers, games, etc. compared to OS X 10.5, which is veeerrrrrry old.

    • @cameraman4brainiac
      @cameraman4brainiac 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think that it would be even better to leave the G4 hardware alone, max out the RAM, and put the PowerPC port of Debian on it.

    What if you submerged the keys in the correct orientation, and then used a clear piece of plastic to submerge them and the clear plastic. Or you could use tape or blue tack to stick the keys to the bottom of the container, and then fill it. It would take less peroxide and they wouldn't float. Although, I'm not sure if blue tack would dissolve or not.
