      Sorry, Marti. I've been distracted by getting Christmas presents made for the nieces and nephews. I hope to be back on this build in the next week or so.

    Dear Gentle Flamingo, thank you for this video series! You have provided the Rosetta Stone for building it….the Thingiverse instructions are okay, but you greatly helped me with my build.

    Wow, unbelievable that you managed to cur out these pieces by hand! really incredible! Next time maybe you can search for a near maker Space to laser cut the parts. May I ask which wood you used? is it birch or polar plywood? I always thought poplar would be to soft.

      I was just having a bit of fun during lockdown. The kit I use in these videos was ordered from someone with a laser cutter. The wood is birch plywood.

    Thank you for making this video! What type of wood was used for laser cutting? I’m going to try and get my pieces cut myself.

      It is Baltic birch plywood, 3mm for most parts and 6mm for some. If you follow the URL for the Nerdy Gurdy on Thingiverse, you can find all the information you need.

      If you have a maker space nearby, you can download the files from Thingiverse. You can also order from the designer of the Nerdy Gurdy. You can also go to the Nerdy Gurdy Builders Facebook page and get in touch with some people there. I've linked all of those sites in the description of the video. Enjoy your Nerdy Gurdy Journey!

    What is the best width to get the hurdy gurdy cut on? I.e. 4mm, 5mm etc?

    • @thegentleflamingo8540
      @thegentleflamingo8540  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was designed to be cut from 3 mm birch plywood with a few parts cut from 6 mm.

    yo tengo esa ... suena como cuando le piso el rabo a mi gato, pero eso me llevó a encargarle a un luthier una de verdad

      It sounds all right once you work your way through the set up.
