Jennie is a shape shifter in every Blackpink song. You can hear how distinct and great her voice is. No wonder MTV pointed her lines as the key lyrics of every song in the album. Queen. She really is an ace and all rounder idol. She fits perfectly in the American Pop.

yeah same..i thought of 2000s music too when i first heard some of the songs in the album.
Rosé has lots of lines in most songs because she mostly does a lot of the choruses but I agree jisoo and Lisa needs more lines, however this album really was amazing, and every member shined in a different song
That’s not true. Lisa always got huge long rap part, which YG really need to divided it by two part and give one part to Jennie since she is the main rapper in the group. Just because YG always give a huge rap part to Lisa, so Jennie got the vocal line from jisoo and Rosie, the structure of the song which YG divided is not even and not fair, so everything goes wrong. If they can give the rap part to Jennie and Lisa evenly, jisoo and Rosie will get their vocal part evenly too.
Kate Xu I 100% agree the writers need to split the rap parts, like on love to hate me both Jennie and Lisa could have rapped the long rap part and then gave Lisa some singing lines. Jennie is my bias so it sucks to see her not get deserving rap parts, like she only rapped about 30 seconds in total in the whole album and Lisa’s total time of rapping is equivalent to a Blackpink song. However just because Lisa receives long rap parts it still doesn’t mean she gets a fair distribution in songs, most of the time it’s jisoo or Lisa at the bottom with the least lines.
Z Euphoria Jennie is my bias too. Even tho lisa get less vocal line but her rap part is too long, sometimes it’s like almost half of the song. Most of the song is written by Danny Chung (Lisa Stan) I don’t think it’s fair at all that YG use one of Lisa Stan as Blackpink’ song writer. They shouldn’t use any solo Stan to participate in the group’s songs. But let’s not talk about these things. I don’t wanna start a war, lol. Anyways hope Jennie will get more chance to show her talent in future.

Actually They are all shining on this album! 💗 About Jisoo only had 2 lines on Ice cream, I personally think because that song is too sweet, Jisoo’s voice is not really fit in it, so that’s why... (I’m happy for the other songs on this album, they almost have equally parts to sing or rap)👏🏻
one reason why blackpink is great because you can hear some Dr Dre beats in their songs, Lisa's rap reminiscent of Missy Elliot, and some Eminem thrown in.. Jennie's raps also reminds me of 2000s rap as you mentioned.. and Jisoo and Rosé's vocals just fit perfectly with the rap parts.. despite all those musical influences, they have their own distinct personality that you can feel and listen to.. esp Jisoo whose voice is really uniquely Korean.. i mean compared to Rosé whose influences are obviously more western.. anyway, the point is you put all those great musical influences in there plus their personality and charisma and you get powerpuff girls.. i mean blackpink

guys i am a rose fan and u guys r wrong about rose not getting more lines. she got more lines than jennie jisoo both in the whole album. dont just consider one song
I don't know, I don't hate you, but I done this everytime people said a bad think about YG.
It's doesn't seem like they not incorporating them more or doing discrimination, it's just about "who is suit this part in this music". Jisoo has unique-deep voice so she need specific part in BP's song. She get more line in Lovesick Girl and You Never Know because "that part in that music" suitable with her voice so much.
That's happened to Jennie too, she didn't get more rap line cause Lisa's voice is more suitable for "that part in that music". Jennie get more vocal line cause she has universal voice, it's suitable in every way, every part, she stand in every part--even that vocal or rap
I never mad with YG line distribution, cause they know their artist better. I just get used to it since I was VIP for long-long time ago. My favorite in BIG BANG is GD and Seungri. GD always has sooo much line since he was the writer, but opposite, Seungri only got one part or one line, you can see that on Let's Not Falling In Love. Seungri only has one line.
I never mad about that. I love them as a group, even my favorite member didn't get more line in "this song", I know he will get moreeee line in "another song". I just need to wait. Being eing a YG fan is an exercise in patience. Hahahaha....
