I had became a fan of Emery back in 2022 when he coached Villareal to a win against Bayern in UCL. Solid team defensively.
I damn near shed a tear seeing Unai hugging Mings. Unai said after we lost Buendia and Mings that what we achieve this season will be for them. Best get well soon gift they could ever get. UTV
Definitely. They fought so hard last season to get us into Europe & it was gutting that they both missed it all.
Great that they've got Champions League to look forward to next season.
@@wolfiesmith1966 I remember how happy I was when Mings signed permanently after he had become one of us during his loan. Him getting on a train still in his kit. The expectation of 'when is it going to happen?' and Bournemouth playing silly buggers over the fee. Mings is a massive reason why we are where we are right now. Buendia too, absolutely gutting to see him injured in pre season when everything was coming together. I'm incredibly happy to see them both included tonight to remind them they are part of this success.
@@sisloan I totally agree. Mings & Buendia were the only players to play some part in every league game last season & to lose them both for the whole of this season was a massive blow. This team though seems so together & you know they've been shown the love & support they needed. Delighted that they'll have the chance to experience European football with Villa that they both deserve.
