Fun fact the Cvs2 announcer is actually a Japanese man. When you’re told that it kinda makes sense with the weird annunciation, but when you’re not you’d never even consider he’s not a native English speaker which honestly that guy deserves full props; man defined a generation in a second language and no one once said it was because of engrish.
I agree, he sounds like a native English speaker who was given Japanese written lines and Japanese speech direction. Maybe he lived in the states for a long time and moved back to Japan? Either way, he's one of my favorite annoucers
Personally I love Skullgirls announcers, just the fact that there’s like 4, and they are all so unique from each other from how they say the characters names, to the intro and outros, etc. I think the ones you listed are all just as good if not better, but the fact I can have a drunk guy say “WOLF BRO!”, “BIG DUDE!” and “heh…peacock” makes it my favorite FG announcer hands down
That ending really hit. It put me back to when I was a kid, playing SF3 Alpha with my cousin, we were holding ps2 controllers and my thumb was hurting from all the button mashing and then I hear "Triumph or Die!" and that's when it hit me, I love fighting games.
3rd Strike announcer also did the music, there's a very interesting video where he talks about how Capcom Staff came on person to Canada. (Edit: Entertainment Report Podcast - INFINITE Street Fighter)
Power Stone announcer I remember fondly “Welcome to Power Stone War!” Also Samurai Shodown “iza, ginjo ni ippon desu shobu” basically saying a one point match.
My favorite announcer of all time is the MvC1 woman. "Capcom presents" "MARVEL VS CAPCOM". Of all the fighting games I played as a kid, all these years later, that shit remains with me clear as day. She's marvelous. Great video, bro!
The English system voice / announcer for BlazBlue Centralfiction really does it for me. Rumiko Varnes says everything in such an upbeat manner. The final syllable in everything is the highest pitched and most energetic. And, thus, even the most mundane things like announcing a character name or selecting a stage sound so enthusiastic that I just can't help but pick up a little bit of that energy. She's excited, so I'm excited, too. That's hard to pull off, and she nails it.
Although not a fighting game but was definitely inspired by fighting game announcers, Cuphead's announcer is pretty beastly too. Maybe if Studio MDHR wanted to, they could make a Cuphead fighting game and keep that announcer.
"Relatable vibe" resonated with me when describing the Third Strike announcer. I still use a lot of the terms and lines said by him when talking to people to this very day because of how much I played that game when Online Edition was released. Also, shoutout to Infinite for the rap tracks in the game; Added to the whole aesthetic of 3S, and love that he reps Rexdale in the full version of the credit song too. Puts a smile on my face when Toronto gets the opportunity to shine for a wider audience.
Zero 3 felt like a game that took itself seriously. The cutouts and transitions really sold how smooth of an experience it was, especially for the arcade with no loading times. It really popped and took things to a level rarely seen in fighting games at the time.
Man I didn’t even realize how important sound design and announcers were in fighting games! Definitely just got hit with a hugeeee wave of nostalgia for most of these
I always have a fighting game noise or announcer for at least one of my phone notifications. Killer Instinct's combo breaker (2013 because I love that announcer the most) is currently one of my notification tones. Never get tired of that guy.
MVC1,CVS2, Melee ,SF3 & 4 SC2 are all greats that I quote daily! I feel like Max Power in Kof XV will be added to this discussion someday man is having a BLAST!
Loving this style of content. Hope to see more of this too! Btw just wanted to add that the CvS1 anouncer was pretty dope too. It really contributed to adding to the overall presentation theme of "IT IS THE YEAR 2000. THE FUTURE IS NOW AND ANYTHING GOES" for me. Also so glad you mentioned the Tekken 4 anouncer. The game overall was another game that was vibing with the whole "early 2000s cool smooth futuristic" vibes that I would notice in a lot of games at the time. Especially with Japanese games.
To add to the Soul Calibur example, to me, the announcer in SC2 & SC3 (Cazmo Lukrich) still stands out as the best in the series to me. To me, he nailed that ”solemn” tone you mentioned better than anybody before or since; like an old storyteller recounting the tragic tales of warriors past, knowing that none of their stories had a happy ending. And there’s just a special quality to the timbre of his voice that hasn’t been matched by the announcers that came after him. A warmth. The announcer for 5 & 6 is good, too, but lacks that warmth and ”empathy” in his voice (it’s also a little too ”breathy whisper” imo). I’d love for them to get Lukrich back again for SC7. I’m usually not one for going backwards when it comes to features in games, but I do think Lukrich was a uniquely good fit for the somber tone of Soul Calibur (a tone I’d wish they lean into more, which I feel they haven’t done as hard since SC3, but I digress). I get that there’s a million reasons why they wouldn’t/couldn’t bring him back: maybe he’s unionized, maybe he’s NOT unionized (either could be an issue, depending on how Namco works), maybe he’s retired, or just uninterested, maybe it’s impractical due to where he lives (like he used to live in Japan and now he doesn’t), or just the fact that Namco already has a reliable relationship with the current announcer, so they don’t want to mess with what already works for them. But regardless, I hope for his return one day. To me, he is THE voice of Soul Calibur.
Everything you mentioned about Alpha 3, especially the “so animated that it grows on you” portion, is why I and many love the Skullgirls announcer. There’s just so much energy and personality to him and the fictional announcer feels almost like he as a character is adding his own flavor by going off script for things like the pause and un pause quotes, acting as much the director of the staged scene as he is an announcer for a fictional audience: “Hold it/pause!” “Quit lollygagging!” It all just meshes so well with the brown and white aesthetic, film-related visual motifs, and smooth, jazzy, almost intermission-like music of the game’s various menu themes to set a truly unique atmosphere that often goes overlooked by people who aren’t already a part of the community.
My favorites: 1.Gotta be Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter, the enthusiasm, the calls for all the super moves, the impeccable announcer voice, just perfect. 2.Street Fighter Alpha 3, I love the snide announcer voice and the unique lines, which there were lots of in that game, probably more than in any other fighting game. 3.Tekken 3, I agree that Tekken 4 has one of the best announcers, but 3 is even better, the deep voice, along with the way he just says ridiculous names like Gun Jack, Bryan Fury and Boskonovich, not to mention, the debut of "...Chicken...", just awesome in every way. 4.Soul Calibur 3, my favorite out of the series for many reasons, one of them being the announcer, his delivery really sounds like you're being taken on an adventure. 5.Virtua Fighter 2, simple and to the point, being the first 3D fighting game had to set a standard, the delivery really makes you feel like you're in a straight-up martial arts tournament in the 90's, especially when you here "Draw!" "Sudden Death" or "Congratulations!".
I really love this kind of content, hope you do more in the future I share the love for all your mentions, but I would like to make some of my own: - The guy from SSB Brawl (I think his name is Pat Cashman), because his voice reaches deep into my soul - The one from GG Xrd, just because his voice screams "look at how cool this game is, man", he's also more pronounced than past announcers, appearing more often throughout the game - The replacement announcer from later versions of SF4. He gets comically exited about the smallest things ("I'VE NEVER SEEN A COMBO THAT INTENSE" when you chain 2 jabs) Also shout-outs to the person that screams GET READY every time you do a Super in MvC1
Really love these types of videos from creators in the fighting game genre. Some of my favorites that you didn't mention are Tekken 7 USF4 Last Blade 2 SF2 except for ST Soul Calibur 2
I really like the original SF2 announcer. Its where it all began for me and all of the sound design from that game was top notch and memorable. Even the hard to understand parts are iconic
20 years later and no other game in the series has matched the original GGXX pre-AC announcer for me. Something about games from that era. Tekken 5's is the more memorable Tekken one for me and I think part of it is just what you grew up with sometimes.
this video style was amazing and kept my attention all the way through. i’m not sure how to explain it but it was nice hearing what felt like just a nice and personal video from you.
Bruh that Battle Assault 2 mention legit gave me chills. Fucking love that game and it makes me so happy there are people who still remember it. A real gem
Do you know Lenne Hardt? She was the ring announcer for PRIDE and currently for ONE. She has a very iconic, memorable voice and style, you'll know immediately it's her if you hear her. She also did Kinnikuman Muscle Grand Prix 2. In looking her up, I recently found out that she's also the voice of Anna Williams in Tekken. The contrast is ridiculous. Hope you get a chance to hear her.
I just wanna point out how in vanilla VF5 they tried to implement an 'automated' play by play commentary in matches, I remember playing in the arcade mode its 2 dudes like having colour and play by play.
This is a great editorial. It showcases your knowledge and passion with strong presentation and polish. It has a point and you make it without rambling or losing yourself. I'd love more of this kind of thing from you. I was engaged the whole video. Thanks for making it!
Older anime games: “Heaven or hell. Let’s rock!” Modern anime games: “in the criminal justice system there are 2 separate but equally important groups. The police who investigate crime… and the district attorneys who prosecute the offenders. These are their stories. Round 2, get shwifty!”
I've watched this video so many times, that it really had me thinking about some of the "voices" of some of my favorite games. And it dawned on me, even though they're not anywhere near the same genre. But Three Dog and Mr. New Vegas, the radio hosts from fallout 3 and new vegas, perfectly fit into this segment, they do an amazing job in their respective games. They report on the players actions through news segments that give the player a sense of agency, making it seem that their choices actively affect the world around them. And they make it seem like they're not just only narrating and entertaining the player, but they're also talking to the citizens of New vegas and the Capital Wasteland like they're real sentient people. Which thinking back on it now was something the radio host in fallout 4 was missing. That flare the other 2 had that made them so iconic and memorable. In Fallout 3 after helping the ghouls take over Tenpenny Tower I had no idea they straight up just murdered the human residents until Three Dog makes a comment about it and shit talks you for helping them and calls you a murderer. I also love how they do advertisements for shops in the game, specifically Mr. New Vegas. I love how he advertises the Tops, one of the casinos in the New Vegas strip, or how he segways into songs. My favorite is how he introduces "Ain't that a kick in the head" by Dean Martin. For me it feels like he really lands that 1950-1960 Radio host personality era that the game takes place in, and it's how I imagine radio host sound like at that time. Which is why I find it criminal that my friends rarely turned on the radio during their playthroughs.
This is a great throwback video my man, I'm surprised you didn't shout out P4A and their support announcers, that was a cool variation on the in game announcer, even if it did get annoying
I grew up with MK, and I don't think the impact of the announcer can be overstated. On the one hand, the screaming "Mortal Kombat!" is legendary and iconic. Simultaneously, on the other hand, the coldness of the announcer is absolutely perfect. It says there is no heroism here; just cruel indifference spiced up with a little sadism. MK's visuals were the creative side of things, and using sprites of real people enhanced the effect of the brutality, but the graphical tech when MK came out was still very low grade. However, that voice had full effect from the beginning. "FINISH HIM!," "FATALITY!," and "FLAWLESS VICTORY!" have persisted unchanged over generations of gamers. And without them, Mortal Kombat would not be the biggest fighting fighting game franchise in history.
In MBAACC, the caster client comes with a tool that lets you change the announcer. Most of them are pretty similar with the calm, low-key style the vanilla announcer has. However, the neco arc announcer is incredibly stupid and hilarious. It changes the tone of the game a lot but I think it’s worth hearing just for the laughs.
I'm glad you made a video on this topic, fighting game announcers can be so COOL. I'm not the best at playing these games, but the aesthetic aspects they have to offer (announcers, character select screens, music, etc.) always bring me back. I've never played this game, but the announcer in Arika's Fighting Layer says "Are you right? Are you ready?" before a round. And that's gotten stuck in my head, to the point that I've said it randomly at home around my sis, and enough that she started saying it without knowing where it's from.
I think you're underselling the CVS2 announcer. He is EVRRYWHERE in the game. During the select menus before the fight, all the way throughout it and all the way to the end, he can be cheesy, but also dramatic, hype and he contributes so much to CVS2 having this electric energy to it!
Bro.... are you like my Kindered Spirit? This list is 100% Perfect. You caught me off guard with Battle Assault 2. You had me and my brother on the edge of our seats. Just subscribed my guy. Good shit.
Late to the party, but the announcer I always think of that resonates with me, is the alpha3 announcer. He sounds like has absolutely no idea what's going on, but is absolutely on board with two peeps throwing down in random locations around the world. 3rd strike's really is just cool though.
This is the kind of content I signed up for. Well, actually I signed up for the wacky stories, but this is top notch regardless. Catch me coming back every time.
I don't even play Marvel 3, but whenever I hear "Capcom presents . . . Marvel Comics" I get excited. The little pause, almost emphasizing the long wait between games and baiting the players' anticipation, it's just great.
Why does majin O only have like 20k views on his vids?! My mans is actually the crown jewel of the FGC content creator world. Whole channel feels like a TV show. Big ups bro fr. G-unit grandslam 4eva
You nailed it. Reload and vanilla XX had the same announcer, so when I got Accent Core on Wii and discovered it had a different announcer, I was bummed and didn't play it as much as I did vanilla on PS2. The way AC announcer said "Heaven or Hell" sounded like he was going through puberty.
This video was greatly produced and majority of the games talked about I've played and 1000% understand and felt on a personal level. Got goosebumps hearing the announcers, lines, and the memories it brought back with them.
As a kid I got into SF4 and MK9 since my brother had got them on xbox, and one day he wanted to try a whole new game that made me laugh with the crazy character designs and names, but what got me hooked was the round start voice going "The Wheel of Fate is Turning... Rebel 1, Action!"
something about how voices sound in games around 2000, it has to do with the compression maybe? would be crazy to hear 3s or tekken 4 announcer without it
Great video, some other ones that stick out to me alot is fighting layer's and snk vs capcom's. Definitely and underlooked aspect to fg's to me but for me a good announcer is part of what makes the classics well classics.
Respect to majin the man of the people… thanks for the based video like always. Shoutout the soul cal announcer even as a casual player the presentation always stuck with me even as I branched into my main games of gear and bb
Other cool announcers: SF3 Second Impact, It's a bit tough to explain but his voice contrasts quite a lot compared to the music. It sounds weird and lazy at first but it has this experienced feeling. Tekken 6 (PSP) has this grand feeling Tekken 3 sounds so rough and he really hardens consonants. Jojo Heritage for the Future: I think this is meant to be D'Arby, He infuses Jojo Engrish with electronic mysterious noises. MK4 announcer: I think this version of Shao Kahn has the most menacing MK voice. MK4 eventhough goofy, had a very mysterious atmosphere to it which was compounded by this MK4 announcer. MVC2: You already talked about marvel vs capcom but I remember not liking this guy since I came from the very hype Marvel super heroes vs Street Fighter announcer but when you listen to the MVC2 airship theme, you realize how well he fits. Plus I like how his voice plays in different pitches at the same time and sounds more evil with higher combos.
"WEALTH AND GLORY TO THE WINNER!" Perhaps one the most amazing lines I've ever heard in ANY fighting at the end of a match. Props giving GBA2 its flowers for game announcer vibes. Its sets such damn mood for the game. I respectfully disagree with T4. I honestly feel Namco outshined that announcer with 5:Dark Resurrection which honestly comes really close to sounding like the T4 announcer out any other future installments come to think of it. MSHvsSF has the best announcer of the entire Vs. Series imo. I can still remember inserting my quarter for the first time for the game... "Welcome to Adventure!" It was essentially the XvsSF announcer on roids lol! Great video!
While not from a fighting game the Unreal Tournament announcer is THE gaming announcer for me. Be it in the orginal game or mods for later/other games, you dont forget its sounds. Its a staple.
I'm going to give a shoutout to the Samurai Showdown series. Its very few lines but they're delivered with such...authority and abruptness which fits how abrupt the matches can end thanks to its high damage attacks. Just feeds into its aura.
Original Unreal tournament annoucer STILL the GOATED one, but good god these brought me back. Another lowkey but for a WAY different reason is the Darkest Dungeon narrator.
I loved this video. See for me I didn’t play Vanilla SFIV. I had a long period of time where I didn’t play fighters. Didn’t even know there was a third strike or a SFIV until my friend got me into KI. Then I played a little bit of USF IV (first time) just a few months before SFV came out. So for me I liked the KAYYYYYYYY OH!! You’re right. The announcers/commentators definitely contribute to the experience. Although, it’s not a fighting game, as a kid I played a lot of Forsaken 64. I can still hear the AI voice in my head when I think of that game, calling out powerups/weapons: “Titan” “Solaris” “Scatter.” Anyways, I thought it was an interesting topic. I like the way you presented this. I hope you have a good one. Also, if you haven’t played or heard of it, I would look up Forsaken 64 soundtrack on TH-cam. Everyone has different tastes in music, but that soundtrack was fire. Especially back then. Another reason I played it a lot, but some might think it’s wack now. 😂😂
Alpha 3 for me is D best of all time when it comes to arcade feel... prob very bias towards it as is one of the games I play the most at the arcade when I was a 9..10yo kid but that announcer whenever I hear it, it takes me back to those times of LOUD AF arcade sounds and sure there were other games but for some reason alpha3 sound was always the loudest and I LOVED IT!
Yeah I think those loud and bombastic arcade sounds were a big part of the experience. I had that with Street Fighter but also years earlier too with games like Strider.
its the cadence of LetsGoCRAZY that feels like each word that's interrupting the last MvC's presentation was amazing. and so memorable. HYPER COMBO FINIIIIISH (beat, beat, beat) KAY-OH.
I was surprised to find out that the Marvel vs. Capcom announcer Sally Cahill was also the voice of Ada Wong in Resident Evil. I've always been a fan of Power Stone's announcer because of their enthusiasm for even the most mundane parts of the game.
I subbed as soon as i heard jim ross, the man is godlike commentary personified. In fighting games I love those announcers that never shut the fuck up like cvs2, makes it super hype 🔥🔥
this rules, so glad you did this, and it's crazy how emotional I get seeing tastosis get recognition around the gaming community. I'm still watching them every time they broadcast for about 12 years now. it's wild. I'm glad for the history of fgc on youtube, watching memorable clips the last couple of years to see what I missed. But I don't want to ignore the video game part which is also excellent. thanks for this, really touching and great. all of it.
present mic in oj2 (japanese voice) is unmatched, he may only speak at the start and end of round but every time he does it gets me into it, plus it makes sense for the world of mha, top 2 imo
Thank you for reminding everybody about the Hellpockets Summit clip. This is our scene's history.
History must be preserved
This "more structured" content is dope, would love to see more.
Same, I like this a lot.
amen, this is so good
You got it chief. Thanks for coming through
Fun fact the Cvs2 announcer is actually a Japanese man. Really? I always thought it was always pretty obvious.
I agree, he sounds like a native English speaker who was given Japanese written lines and Japanese speech direction. Maybe he lived in the states for a long time and moved back to Japan? Either way, he's one of my favorite annoucers
The Melee, killer instinct, and Halo announcers could commentate my entire life and I'd be happy.
throw NBA Streets vol 2 on there too for some flava
The last line "I put the quarter in the machine, and the machine spoke back to me" goes so fucking hard

Go for it, man!
3rd Strike announcer also did the music, there's a very interesting video where he talks about how Capcom Staff came on person to Canada.

The Garou announced remains criminally underrated. I love how calm he is until it’s time to fight!
I prefer 98 or samsho v announcer to the garou one
My fav mortal Kombat announcer is prolly the ps2 era of games like the tone he had was so like demonic it was sick
Man I didn’t even realize how important sound design and announcers were in fighting games! Definitely just got hit with a hugeeee wave of nostalgia for most of these

I share the love for all your mentions, but I would like to make some of my own:

- The one from GG Xrd, just because his voice screams "look at how cool this game is, man", he's also more pronounced than past announcers, appearing more often throughout the game
- The replacement announcer from later versions of SF4. He gets comically exited about the smallest things ("I'VE NEVER SEEN A COMBO THAT INTENSE" when you chain 2 jabs)
Also shout-outs to the person that screams GET READY every time you do a Super in MvC1
Really love these types of videos from creators in the fighting game genre.

Last Blade 2

Soul Calibur 2

Obama my company might send me to Japan. Ready to get clapped in Melty on my 96' Dell?
@HasDaChatlogs the revolution will be televised
Absolutely love this kind of content also that rich evans edit with the killer instinct stuff is something i didnt know I needed xD Thank you!

In Alpha 3 When dude says "Yeah! The world's waiting for you!!" I felt that...i felt that
Every upload from you is a blessing. Thank you, truly.
Glad you enjoy it!
Perfect ending. Indeed, "lets go crazy" is one for the ages and hits hard.
Older anime games: “Heaven or hell. Let’s rock!”
Modern anime games: “in the criminal justice system there are 2 separate but equally important groups. The police who investigate crime… and the district attorneys who prosecute the offenders. These are their stories. Round 2, get shwifty!”
lol
This voices are one of my favorite parts of this games, seeing someone do an entire video about it is really cool
glad ya enjoyed it
I think the Skullgirls ones are my favorites and there are some funny variations that I just love.
Especially the drunk announcer
Tomar fucking kills it as the announcer! For sure was thinking about this one.
KoF 98's Announcer "The King of Fighters!" Delivery is still my favorite, and I hear her every time any KoF game boots up.
i think 98 is best KoF announcer
that giants clip put a smile on my face. madden is eternal.
RIP
Imma have to charge Obama with attempted murder, the nostalgia from gundam assault 2 just nearly fucking killed me
i dumped some hours onto that game man...lol
Absolutely stellar video, Obama
but that Hellpockets commentary at the start distracted me all video.
it distracted all of us... lol
And also the fact that you have to BEAT the announcer to beat the game.
I always loved how the announcer would say the names of the different fighters like "reptile" etc.
Xmen Vs Street Fighter will always be my favorite announcer. That opening cinematic to get you to put a quarter in 😍
In MBAACC, the caster client comes with a tool that lets you change the announcer.
It got cut from the vid, but I like vampire savior announcer maniacally laughing when you do stuff like tech hit
I think you're underselling the CVS2 announcer. He is EVRRYWHERE in the game. During the select menus before the fight, all the way throughout it and all the way to the end, he can be cheesy, but also dramatic, hype and he contributes so much to CVS2 having this electric energy to it!
"T-T-T-T-The Milliobaire 2001 is about to begin! Hardcore fans have been eagerly anticipating this event! And now... the wait is finally over!"
Bro.... are you like my Kindered Spirit? This list is 100% Perfect. You caught me off guard with Battle Assault 2. You had me and my brother on the edge of our seats. Just subscribed my guy. Good shit.
Late to the party, but the announcer I always think of that resonates with me, is the alpha3 announcer. He sounds like has absolutely no idea what's going on, but is absolutely on board with two peeps throwing down in random locations around the world. 3rd strike's really is just cool though.
This more edited style of video is dope and i like hearing your more planned out/condensed thoughts a lot
Thanks for comin through
This is the kind of content I signed up for. Well, actually I signed up for the wacky stories, but this is top notch regardless. Catch me coming back every time.
appreciate it. more on the way!
G-unit grandslam 4eva
thanks for peeping man
This video makes me want to do sound design for fighting games.
Thank you for highlighting this aspect of these games!
Any time!
Great video. I'm surprised you chose the accent core announcer over the one they had for XX#reload, that announcer had an amazing energy that I love.
I think its the tone difference? AC feels more adventurous to me and I think
Honestly one of my faves from you. Love this retrospective type stuff 1000%.
my friend quotes "that's what we like to call BIG damage" all the time and as a result so do I
This video was greatly produced and majority of the games talked about I've played and 1000% understand and felt on a personal level. Got goosebumps hearing the announcers, lines, and the memories it brought back with them.
thanks for watchin man
Obama is an underrated story teller, get this man a budget asap
appreciate ya
My personal favorite is the Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter announcer SHOUTING THE NAME of the Hyper Combo you finish the match with.
shit was absolutely incredible
This whole series is sick, just finished the intro and the stages video new subscriber eating good rn
thanks for watching man! not done yet either! should be wrapping up a new entry soon
@@doogies 🤝🏽🤝🏽🤝🏽
The editing for this is crazy godlike
Glad you enjoyed!
Respect to majin the man of the people… thanks for the based video like always. Shoutout the soul cal announcer even as a casual player the presentation always stuck with me even as I branched into my main games of gear and bb
I appreciate that
Other cool announcers:
SF3 Second Impact, It's a bit tough to explain but his voice contrasts quite a lot compared to the music. It sounds weird and lazy at first but it has this experienced feeling.
Tekken 6 (PSP) has this grand feeling
Tekken 3 sounds so rough and he really hardens consonants.
"WEALTH AND GLORY TO THE WINNER!"
Perhaps one the most amazing lines I've ever heard in ANY fighting at the end of a match.
Agreed
Gundam Battle Assault 2 on the ps1 was legit. Unlocking everything was a chore but the announcer was really memorable.
I'm going to give a shoutout to the Samurai Showdown series. Its very few lines but they're delivered with such...authority and abruptness which fits how abrupt the matches can end thanks to its high damage attacks. Just feeds into its aura.
Ippon!
SSVSP for sure
Also I think you do this format really well and I think the quality of your content has been getting better and better with every upload
thanks for coming by and leaving a comment like this. appreciate ya
I always appreciated the clear thought you put into this topic. It shined through in your personal commentary choices at events really well
Thanks for coming through
Original Unreal tournament annoucer STILL the GOATED one, but good god these brought me back. Another lowkey but for a WAY different reason is the Darkest Dungeon narrator.
WHEW.
What a nostalgia bomb. That mvsnk hit. Encapsulated how we all feel perfectly.
thanks for watching
Should've mentioned skullgirls too
I love him so much, his energy and style mixes perfectly with the game
Great Video Essay. And thank you for the Battle Assault 2 love. The announcer was awesome when playing back in the day.
low key hype announcer
Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter is special. "Welcome to the adventure!"
🖤 facts
Choose your alter ego
I always love your more edited content, it always helps me to find greater appreciation for the finer details in fighting games
Glad you like them! Appreciate ya
I was going to mention Gundam Battle Assault 2 as an honorary mention, but you beat me too it.
DUDE OMFG I jumped out of my chair when Gundam BA2 came up. One of my favorite games growing up. Great video dude.
Mine too!
its the cadence of LetsGoCRAZY that feels like each word that's interrupting the last
MvC's presentation was amazing. and so memorable. HYPER COMBO FINIIIIISH (beat, beat, beat) KAY-OH.
Damn this video was a banger. Flawless victory bro. I love this style of documentary you’ve done.
appreciate ya
Bro the Battle Assault 2 announcer is amazing the wealth and glory to the winner line was cool AF this video made my night
Wealth and glory to the winner
I was surprised to find out that the Marvel vs. Capcom announcer Sally Cahill was also the voice of Ada Wong in Resident Evil. I've always been a fan of Power Stone's announcer because of their enthusiasm for even the most mundane parts of the game.
That is random as hell but cool that adas voice actress is the announcer
I dont really consider those games fighting games but for this discussion, it makes sense! Thanks for sharing
Bro "Attack the enemy mobile suit" and "checkmate" voice lines will be stuck in my head until I die
Great video
WEALTH AND GLORY TO THE WINNER
KOF 11 has one of the best imo. That lady with rich engrish accent was so satisfying to hear...
SELECT THEE OHDAHH
Obama editorial content is godlike.
appreciate ya
The SFA3 announcer lives in my brain rent-free and I won't let him move out. "Go for broke! Triumph or die!"
Sharpen your fangs! ITS NOT THE END
That's enough! Unbeatable!
godlike video, obama. really digging the editing job on this one, on top of the content being top as always. keep it up
Appreciate it!
