I like to keep this on loop for my nighttime reading music and have for years. Hollow Ataraxia was such an experience, and the music only made it better.
Yeah, I enjoyed far more Hollow Ataraxia than Stay Night. Don't get me wrong, Stay Night is a great VN, but I think that Hollow Ataraxia is simply superior thanks to the character's development. And Avenger is my favorite Servant and one of my favorite Type-Moon characters.
Rhadamanthys Stay Night was amazing for various reasons, mainly as a serious story. Hollow Ataraxia was a nice change of pace since it was a fandisc. It was a mix of serious stories, sad ones, comedic, and slice of life. Just tons of fun in different ways. I'm glad they gave the minor characters their backstory. Oh and Avenger... How different he ended up if he was given a chance to live
This may come off as a bit hipster-y, but I'm glad Hollow Ataraxia is such a niche game, even though it's a part of a series as popular as Fate. Makes it feel as if this curious, but very charming game is a well-kept secret between the game and "those who know".
@@snakebot4986 I wouldn't say Ufotable has done a bad job with the anime, though I do wish Illya had more screen time in the first two Heavens Feel movies. As to FGO, while they've certainly taken some liberties with the lore I think the story actually gets pretty good once you get to Camelot and I don't think there's been a disappointing Losbelt yet.
@@darkprinc979 I wouldn't say any of the lostbelts are BAD, but all the ones in NA have been dissapointing compared to the prologue/1st. It reached its peak at the start. What I've read of camelot lostbelt has been even better, though.

To me, it's the last bit of Old Type Moon that hasn't been turned into a gacha or ufotable anime

Well the game sold just as much as the og Fsn, it's just FHA never got animated unlike Fsn.
Tho original Fate/Hollow Ataraxia VN may not be exactly perfect, its a masterpiece in my humble opinion.
Fair argument. For me personally, it was nothing but perfection. It's weird knowing no book ever will hit the highs this VN did for me
