Got to love those E-tecs, the most advanced 2 stroke engines in snowmobiling today.

Honestly the most impressive part was that the battery wasn’t dead.

Fondly remember the bitter cold mornings pulling over a V-Max 4. Not being a big guy, it was.....fun.

I liked the starting of the Snowmobiles in real cold temperatures.

I always wondered if people in Canada put their sleds in a garage/ heated shed (or in their living room), so they could get them started in
the morning - I guess Skidoo owners up there don't have to ;)

It gets colder than this up in Canada. Those really cold nights, we can take the battery out and keep it in the hotel room or cottage for the night.

I live in the arctic and -55C without windchill is not uncommon. Skidoo is the brand of choice and they start

New sleds they should start. Try pull starting a 1998 583 mxz in that cold. That would be a good video.

My 800 etec starts at that in C but not F and it certainly grumbles about and takes like 4 tries before stays running. Hoping also the 850 is a bit better, certainly not roping over mine at -25F. Likely that isolfex doesn't help when cold and just using the thinner full synthetic XPS on the whole crank would help. It pours pretty decent at -30F even, much better than the semi they discontinued. They stroked the 850 so that should make harder to turn over unless beefed up starter but battery had same CCA and that sounded much better than my 800 when started. Anyways cheers to not jumping it off the truck!

I have a 800 and sometimes it does. 4 jumps off truck this year, even with new battery. So bahhh to that theory! Old F7's they all fired right up, 2 pulls as always. Those smokey old cats start in the cold but ride like crap.
