R2+cross will make your cross high. 1. you can use this if your opponent block your passing lane and need to do a lofted pass. 2. you can also use it when you get inside the penalty box. normal cross or low pass can be intercepted or caught by the keeper. 3. goal kick with R2 will make the ball go high making it easy for your target man to head the ball to other player.

I really love how they simulate the crossing with the player free kick style. For example beckham crossing looks like he is taking a free kick shoot
I had alexander arnold and Haaland in the same team. I was using the L1 curved crossing .Everytime haaland was catching it easily

I don’t use analog so can I instruct my full back to run (@3:39) by just using L1+ the direction button?
to instruct teammate to run need to use L1+RS. D-pad is LS.

I sent in so many sensational crosses after watching this in BAL mode but my strikers finishing are so bad they can't hit water in a boat

try using the scissor feint/step over. its easy to get a foul if the opponent get close. R2+RS then LS. I got some clips on that in one of my video.

From my experience, holding r2 make the player better at shielding the ball. But, it could just be placebo
