The prevailing trajectory of Nigeria as a nation raises profound and alarming concerns within the realm of the rule of law and the conduct of executive agencies. It is evident that certain agencies of the presidency may be deviating brazenly from the established legal framework, a disconcerting state of affairs that demands immediate attention. The president must expeditiously wield his authority to enforce strict compliance within the Department of State Services (DSS) to uphold the sanctity of the rule of law. Their actions appear disturbingly aligned with executive directives, undermining the principles of an impartial and just legal system. The court's ruling, mandating Emefiele's incarceration in prison while awaiting perfected bail, must be adhered to with unwavering fidelity to legal procedures. Any attempt to undermine the authority of the court is an affront to the bedrock of democracy and the foundation upon which a just society is built. The deplorable incident involving the DSS's aggressive assault on prison staff executing the court's lawful order is a matter that demands severe condemnation. Such blatant actions demonstrate flagrant disregard for the judiciary's authority, imperiling the fabric of a fair and equitable legal system. The involvement of certain individuals, like Tinubu, in purportedly threatening the court with anarchy regarding the presidential election and allegedly fostering militants like Asari Dokubo to challenge the state, raises serious apprehensions regarding the integrity of our democratic institutions. This escalating predicament warrants urgent and resolute action. Safeguarding the rule of law and upholding the sanctity of the judiciary must be the bedrock of our collective endeavor to foster a just and principled society. Any conduct that erodes these fundamental tenets of justice must be met with unyielding resolve and decisive measures to restore public trust in our legal institutions. The trajectory of Nigeria's path is a matter of grave concern for all citizens, and it is incumbent upon us to stand united and resolute in preserving the essence of our legal framework and the principles that underpin a harmonious and fair society. The urgency to act is paramount in reestablishing the integrity of our nation's legal institutions and ensuring that justice prevails without prejudice or favoritism. Twitter Handle: s_agaga_real

It is so shameful for all these charge and bail attorneys shouting and screaming violation of the "Rule of Law" without understanding the definition and application of same. An accused person granted bail can be outright rearrested on a new offense charge. If the DSS has a new charge of offense against the accused, yes, such an accused can be rearrested and that WILL NOT be termed a violation of the Rule of Law. It becomes a violation of the Rule of Law, if the rearrest is based on the same charge that he / she had just been granted bail. Enough of misinterpretation and sheer ignorance.
What do you expect of APC style of governance. Same disregard for the rule of law continue under BAT. DSS is the most politicized security put fit in Nigeria. It is often used by the president to harass his perceived enemies anc opponents.
DSS is toying with the Judiciary and Nigerians. This present APC government are afraid of what he will spill. The judge should ask for the arrest of the DG DSS - a Nigeria organisation cannot be above the law.
