    Genuinely finding your tactics incredibly inspiring, was having a lot of problems with Expert Post Game Aklove, so I was curious and looked up what strategies others were using and was pointed to your Insane Version of the fight, truly pretty inspiring.
    This was another great battle, and I look forward to trying to take some of the lessons you pointed out and apply them to my own Expert Battle.

      Thank you friend! I appreciate the support and I’m glad you’ve found the videos helpful!
      I’m also interested in seeing how other people handle these difficult battles, and showing the answers/tactics I’ve found in the case that it can be helpful or entertaining to others. That’s one of the best parts of Pokémon, is that there’s multiple ways to accomplish the same goal.
      I know that insane mode might not translate perfectly to expert, but hopefully it can be helpful at least somewhat!

    bruh im telling you that pinsir was a pain. it was ohkoing my azumarill with FEINT . Even at -1 attack that thing is so broken I did catch minior but i dint use it for stealth rocks though. Then was the crobat who easily set up using its focus sash and ripped my team . The most broken thins is pinsir's moveset feint storm throw(which always crits and ohko my max defense lairon) eq and some bug move. I gave up . But then after watchin ur video i just used one turn to set up stealth rocks and i won. No sash crobat and NO BROKEN PINSIR. It really takes a genius mind to come up with strats to beat this ridiculously hard game
    btw where did u get the eviolite

    • @VersacePokemon
      @VersacePokemon  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, that Pinsir is unreal. Fantastic move coverage and also has facade which due to his ability, still hits ghost types, so he’s hard to counter. Though, once I figured out stealth rocks, that was a game changer. Stealth rocks are so crucial for this battle. Breaks crobats sash too.
      Nice job getting the win! You can get eviolite by talking to the breeder in the Pokémon center of blizzard city, you just have to show them a Pokémon that can still evolve.

      Just did it with after 7 trial with:
      Tarkoal-For taking out skarmory's stealth rock and chipping out huge portion of skarmory's hp also securing with burn.
      Minior- taking gliscors initial poison and making it pointless cause of ability shield off, and setting up stealth rock.
      Ribombee- taking gliscors rock slide and will make the ai switch with crobat. Then the pollen spore during switch, will slow crobat but in return will take out ribombee.
      Gardevoir- Has one job. To one shot, slowed crobat.
      Then, back to gliscor.
      Instead of aquatail azumarill, I used razor shell dewott with held antipoison berry. Then will take about 5 razor shells, 2 toxic and 2 protects to end gliscor.
      Then the Donph-chad, He will tank dodrio in steroids. Then use charm to lower his attack. Ancient power from minior and the recoil from dodrios attack will kill itself.
      Donchad will be left with few hp to tank 1 more of pinsirs attack and charm him 1 time.
      Then tarkoal will end pinsir.
      The remaining of her few pokemon will die to stealth rock. The end

    imo this fight gets 100% easier if you bring torkoal. Has access to Rapid Spin, and Lava plume to shit on skarm easily, not to mention amazing bulk. Imo, 2.0 alice felt easier because of me using torkoal, and Big Mo is defo the current hardest gym leader.

    • @VersacePokemon
      @VersacePokemon  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wish I had known to bring Torkoal, it would’ve probably been a better replacement for numel, similar bulk as eviolite numel while being a harder hitting lava plume user. Donphan could’ve also been replaced as designated rapid spin user.
      I’ve never played the original Unbound, so I’m playing 2.0 blind with nothing to compare it to. Alice has been the hardest battle yet, by far, but I have also heard from others that Big Mo is arguably harder! Everyone usually says either Alice or Big Mo.

    I’m playing through Expert right now, and Alice is still by far the hardest fight so far. She took a good 12-15 attempts to win, and by the time I beat her, the battles had the same first 4 turns and then after that I just had to get lucky. Gliscor with Hyper Cutter over Poison Heal actually was quite hard to deal with because my strategy was going to be to go in and Intimidate it, but that didn’t work. Permanent Tailwind with EV Speed investment is pretty crazy for the 3rd gym, the only other game I know that does that is Radical Red Hardcore mode, but that’s its 6th gym at least

    • @VersacePokemon
      @VersacePokemon  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A lot of times these battles will have the exact same first few turns, but after that there’s an element of variability that I think is a great example of how well designed the AI is. If the opponent always reacts the same, you can just create a linear flow chart of “when he does this, I do that” until you solve the puzzle. With the element of randomness after those first few turns, you have to branch off into like 3 possible outcomes, and then another 3 possible outcomes for each of those. Makes the game harder without the AI actually cheating (reacting to what move you click after you click it, which some hacks do)
      I’ve beaten 5 gyms at this point and still say Alice is the hardest battle in the game by far (for insane at least, I haven’t played the other difficulties) maybe I’ve gotten more acclimated to the games difficulty and have more/better Pokémon now, but I think that is part of what makes Alice so hard, is the lack of available options of Pokémon, moves, and items you have access to at the point in the game.

    Just defeated her on Insane Difficulty with no Sandbox and no New Game+, but boy, this is quite possibly the hardest battle I have ever fought so far!
    I remember defeating her on Insane Difficulty a lot of times before, but those were mostly Sandbox Mode or New Game+. In the absence of Sandbox and/or mons or items from NG+, this battle was absolute hell.
    I bringed Torkoal, Gigalith, Comfey, Donphan, Quacker the Swanna, and Murkrow with me, and in the end only Gigalith with very, very low health was alive. In general Gliscor and Crobat are the two mons that are very hard to stop; Gliscor just stalls you with Toxic Orb / Poison Heal and Protect while taking very low damage from any move, while Crobat with Nasty Plot is extremely dangerous once you let it set up for too long.
    Torkoal defeated Skarmory and brushed the Stealth Rock away, then Gigalith set up our own Stealth Rock, and from that point on the warstory is a bit hazy on my end. I bringed Swanna to combat Gliscor, but it was quite tough to take down. Comfey, Donphan, and Gigalith came in clutch, but it was Gigalith who was simply the MVP of this fight. It withstood almost every single physical blow, set up Stealth Rock, and took out Crobat.
    One incredible fight, and you did it masterfully. Thanks for your videos!

    • @VersacePokemon
      @VersacePokemon  ปีที่แล้ว

      Insane mode with no sandbox or new game+ is a different beast entirely. After beating the game, I’d still say this is easily in the top 3 hardest battles in the whole game.
      Torkoal is pretty good here. If I had to run this battle again, I’d definitely use one this time. Stealth rocks are also so crucial getting them up on the opponents side, total game changer.
      Thanks for sharing your strats! I always love hearing from others how you handled these difficult battles. There’s more than one way to win and everyone finds their own answers. That’s part of what makes these games so great. Congrats on the win!

    The entire rest of the game is easy compared to Alice. The only other hard challenge is Big Mo. Still discouraging to play Insane mode because of Alice and Alice alone.

      Tbh this is what I suspected, but you’re the first person to actually say it. Everyone else has said it gets much harder, but I actually can’t imagine anything harder than this. This battle is the pinnacle of Pokémon difficulty without being actually impossible. Looking forward to Big Mo!
