Merhaba hocam! Since there is the suffix "miyorodu" for vowels a/I, why do we have "yapmIyordu" at 4:50 (it is the vowel "a" in "yapmak")?

Unfortunately, the teacher passed away in 2022 due to cancer. Since then, there has been no one to continue his work, and the web domain has expired.

Hi! Can I write 'ben yazıyordum mu' instead of 'ben yazıyor muydum'?

    • @LearnTurkishwithGokberk
      @LearnTurkishwithGokberk  3 ปีที่แล้ว

The correct one is 'ben yazıyor muydum'. Be careful with the questions because the conjugation is slightly different.

@@LearnTurkishwithGokberk why though? Like the question 'mu' is always last in the sentence why is it changed here? And where is it changed in other than this lesson

@@heysham6101 it's still at last part of the sentence and written separately from the verb. For the past cont we add the Past Suffix "du" after the question marker "mu" and finally the person marker "m". I believe you're watching the lesson too fast, you shouldn't move onto the next lesson before you understand the basics.

Hocam , benim cevaplara bakabilr misiniz ?
    1) Dün , evimizde girdiğimizde , o yemeği pişiriyordu
2)bugün sabah ben televizyonu izlerken , annem sebzeler almak pazara gidiyordu
    3) biz işimizi bitirdiğimizde , sen evde yoktun
    4) okula giderken sana gördük

      you have simple mistakes
if you enter the house mentioned in the first article by several people and it comes from the family or landlords, it becomes 'evimize girdiğimizde', but if it is not from the family or landlords and again several people entered, it becomes 'evime girdiğimizde'.
annem 'sebzeleri' almak 'için' pazara gidiyordu
      the third is true
      okula giderken 'seni' gördük

You should start first by increasing your vocabulary count. With more vocabulary, even if you can't make complex sentences, you will still be able to speak Turkish. After that, try focusing on the basics. Learn the "Present and Past To Be" grammar structures and focus on them for a while. You need to master "Vowel Harmony" and correct Person Marker suffixes before moving onto any other topic. Watch the first 9 videos of the playlist I'll share, and simply master those lessons as much as possible. Once you feel ready, then move onto other topics: th-cam.com/play/PLt4ygjU3XRvZfIp6ZjQP-XG_cQo2oxoA1.html
(Watch from "Turkish Alphabet" until "Past To Be Marker" lesson, do lots of writing and speaking practice)

@@heysham6101 For the "when" structure, we use this "verb + aorist suffix + ken". So we say "ye+r+ken" for "while eating". The past cont. won't be needed for that sentence. But if you want to make it a past cont. sentence, we would say "Dün arkadaşlarımla suşi yiyordum". The past cont is simply present cont + past suffix "-yor + du" ;)

Hello, this course is not a beginner-only Turkish course. It's a general Turkish grammar course, so the examples are not specific to beginners. You shouldn't move onto Past Continuous unless you've mastered the basics (Present Simple, To Be Structure, Present Cont., adverbs, adjectives). There are more beginner-specific materials (video courses, lessons) for Unlimited members at the Turkishaholic website.
