0:59 I remember being at that spot for when my family and traveled to California. I remember looking at the 777 and just admiring how big they are! Nice video!
I've seen the tram system that takes you across the airport before and I still think it's so cool 😁 The aisle seats, never sat in those and certainly wouldn't want to as it seems so narrow. Seriously love that GE90 rumble so much, like a beast waking up. How I miss travel, wonderful vlog. ☺
Thanks for this! I’m doing my first American Airlines international flight in the next summer (assuming I’m vaccinated by then), and it happens to be on this route and on this plane!
Thank you for making this video, I’m doing this exact route on this exact plane and right across from your seat in 3 weeks. I was kind of scared because it was a big plane but this helped a lot.
That was outstanding! thanks for the post im heading to London this year from Dallas and didn't know what to expect this is a first international trip...
Those engines 😍 Hopefully I'll get to fly on a 773er on my next US trip this year (providing it goes ahead) also hoping to get on the 753 on the way home (flying with United) Great report buddy, Subscribed!
Thanks for this! We're hoping to fly an American 777 from DFW to FRA, economy, in May. Hard to justify the extra cost for extra legroom (I'm also 6' 2") when we can use that money for more vacation.
You are getting more space than other economy passengers so you have to pay more. Business class passengers even pay much more for their space. This is the reason for the extra cost even though you are a tall person.
Great video! This has to be a coincidence, but my dad is traveling to India, and somehow he has the exact same registration number as this one and the EXACT same seat, which is incredibly rare, but at least he’ll have a detailed overview on the view and seat itself 😂
Wow, from Pittsburgh to DFW, then to London? You flew 3 hours the opposite way from Pittsburgh to DFW. The trip would be shorter, if you connect through one of the cities on the East Coast.
1. How did you snag a window seat after booking Basic Economy? It's my understanding that seat selection is not available in that class and seat assignment is not made until check-in. 2. I have never flown AA across the pond but can say that British Airways flies circles around American's meal service in Economy, especially with breakfast. Virgin Atlantic also has much better meal service that what I saw here and in other videos.
When booking a basic economy ticket with American or BA, you are able to select seats but you have to pay extra for it. For a window seat on a long haul flight, American charges reasonable amounts, around £10-£12. BA is much more expensive, around £30-£40 for a single seat. From the eastbound transatlantic flights I’ve taken with BA and AA, I would say American offered a slightly better and more substantial breakfast prior to landing. Same case with United and Air Canada too. BA probably did a better job with the dinner though.
Yes my intention is to make reports on all 15 upcoming flights, but only if I’m able to take those trips. They’re all in October/November/December. There may still be strict travel restrictions in place then, in which case I would have to get them rebooked for next year
@@hamzaa997 I booked that one directly through American Airlines. Flight prices have since become more expensive so I now start most of my long haul trips from somewhere in Europe like Barcelona, Paris or Stockholm. You can find cheap flights with Secret Flying. I book most of my flights using Trip.com, Rumbo or Jetcost apps. Google flights is a good tool to find the cheapest dates and routes
When will every America airline will start serving proper generous meals. Looks like after 9/11 serving bird meals have become a permanent norm. They should learn from Emirates and other major middle eastern airlines when it comes to hospitality and food quantity.
goutvols103 Yeah I think there were a few other airports with shorter travel times that I could have chosen like New York, Charlotte or Philadelphia, but I like long flights so I chose Dallas because it was the same price and thought it would be more interesting. I also wanted to try out American’s 777-300ER
AviationAdam thanks for the reply. It would make sense if the price was close. Just one more question - if you just had the AA business ticket what other lounge can you get into at DFW?
goutvols103 I’ve never flown business but with an AA business ticket I’m pretty sure you get free access to the Admirals Club lounge. Since DFW is AA’s biggest hub I would imagine the lounges are pretty good. There are probably other lounges at DFW but the Admirals Club is the one you’d get into for free, unless they have agreements with partner Oneworld airlines or you have Oneworld frequent flyer status in which case you may be able to use their lounges for free
How long was your connection in DFW? I'll be flying in from a regional airport in CO and then a layover of 1 hr 30 min before heading off to Heathrow on the same aircraft you're on. I feel like that will be long enough to get the connection right?
Yes definitely, only takes about 10 minutes to travel to the other side of the airport, the transit is good. Think I had about a 4 hour connection. Even if your flight to Dallas is a little late then you should still be fine
Good report but I reminded you that what you wrote about two London locations are old names, 2012 Olympic Park now renamed the Queen Elizabeth II Park and the stadium now used by West Ham Utd FC (soccer) though not playing nowadays cos of virus and the Millennium Dome now renamed the O2 Dome. If you see the large white building on bank of the River Thames near the Queen Elizabeth II park is the Expo building, the place for two of the 2012 Olympic events - Boxing and Gymnastic. It will now be used as a temporary hospital called the NHS NIghtingale Hospital which will open later next month. Today, British Airways had decided to suspend it's Gatwick service until further notice meaning all BA aircraft in that airport grounded.
Bean counters at AA couldn't have shoehorned one more seat in that economy cabin. United just as guilty with this type. Why do they bother with those ear phones?
0:59 I remember being at that spot for when my family and traveled to California. I remember looking at the 777 and just admiring how big they are! Nice video!
Thank you for capturing all the small details. I'm a nervous flyer taking the same route in a month and this helped ease my anxiety.
Great video! I have watched multiple times. I plan to take this route next year!
Thanks for this! I’m doing my first American Airlines international flight in the next summer (assuming I’m vaccinated by then), and it happens to be on this route and on this plane!
When are you doing this route bud?
I remember flying AA50 back when it was an MD-11 flying to London-Gatwick. Now that is ancient history.
I found the MD-11 very noisy in the cabin when I had flown it Miami to Kennedy back in 95’.
my parents flew the MD-11 from DFW-HNL back in 99 before I was born and they told me a bit about it!
Thank you for making this video, I’m doing this exact route on this exact plane and right across from your seat in 3 weeks. I was kind of scared because it was a big plane but this helped a lot.
The biggest, fastest, and highest plane I've ever flown in, I'm in love with AA's 77W🥰
That was outstanding! thanks for the post im heading to London this year from Dallas and didn't know what to expect this is a first international trip...
Awesome e u be flying that route soon , well done
I flew on N726AN a couple years ago from Heathrow to Dallas
I always enjoy watching your videos
DeAndre agreed an underrated chanel
For having such big engines, the 777-300ER is certainly a quiet plane.
Great flying of the aircraft by the American pilots. Very experienced. Oneworld Alliance is always the finest service. Good video.
Nice work man

Thanks! Good luck for your flights, I love the 757. Hoping to get on a US domestic flight on one of those one day!
great footage
Wonderful video, love the sunset at DFW!
One World Flyer Thanks man!
Awesome trip report Adam, hope you had a good flight!

Great video and flight review!
Very cool I beleive the tailwinds made the flight shorter. and curious if you ever recorded lhr to dfw

That’s amazing, I’m glad this video will be useful!
Awesome video brutha👊👊!
Greatl flight report AviationAdam
That 777 is a great looking aircraft and I believe that American is a great airline. ✈️✈️🇺🇸🇺🇸
We are very closed to London Helelow airport can,t wait to get threre
I like the seat on this flight better. Every time I've flown (like seven that I can remember) I've had a similar view of either wing.
Nice 👍
Wow, from Pittsburgh to DFW, then to London? You flew 3 hours the opposite way from Pittsburgh to DFW. The trip would be shorter, if you connect through one of the cities on the East Coast.
Yup, I did that on purpose because I like long flights. You wouldn’t often find connections in DFW from PIT to LHR. When I found it I booked it.
Aviation is awesome!! ✈️✈️😀😀❤️❤️
Just booked this flight in October, lets hope American can get back to full service by then.

@@AviationAdam oh ok
sometimes the tailwind heading in that direction can be very high!
2:13 look how close his knees are to the seat in front of him
nice video keep it up!
gotta love those GE-90
But in back in the plane is very boring engine sound in take off and you must pay bisnesclass seat if you want hear best engine sounds :(
4:17 it mentions my birthday! March 25
Did you pay 251 pounds for all flights or just this flight in the Videos from dallas to London?
I’m not sure what you mean. The price I paid was for LHR-MAN-PHL-PIT-DFW-LHR
@@AviationAdam yes that was what I meaned if you paid 251 pounds for the whole trip or just this flight. Can I ask where you book your flights?

Thnak you secret flying is a site right? Crazy how you paid for your whole trip from london back to london just 251 pounds😮
3:55 the sound got stuck it reminded me of a humming road or tibetan bowl
engine glitch?
when you zoomed out of the window, it literally shutted down

32:03 The roof was just ripped off by a severe Atlantic storm, "Eunice".

I wish they flew their 777-300ER's from Washington to Beijing
the airline food makes me hungry
Some of the very last footage of The Before Times 😢

wow very nice tnx
Too much IFE and not enough flight on this video !
I took this flight it was so bad
United offered two hot meals from Houston to London and its the same flight time
