You're prob right. IIrc when I did this a long time ago I would skip them. You just have to lure the two trash mobs at the bottom of the stairs. My first practice run I surge dived past them and the doors didn't open so I just played it safe. Either way prob good to let people know to watch out just in case
I’ve never really used necromancy, so watching this video has shown me just how absurdly powerful it is. You were able to basically ignore most mechanics, and just camp soul split for nearly the entire dungeon. Meanwhile I have to soul split flick everything and use a vamp scrim for the mobs. The fact that you could camp soul split for the sanctum guardian is crazy…
Necromancy is incredibly simple, fun, and really fast to level up. As a super casual player, I’ve been able to get 115 necromancy and it’s allowed me to learn bosses I wouldn’t have otherwise tried. 10/10 would recommend.
Yes! I've never been much into PvM, but I was able to kill Zuk and get my necro cape during the recent Thok event, all on mobile. Necro makes the game so much more accessible to casuals like me
Couple things maybe worth noting: 1 Masuta's magic attack that hits super hard targets where you're standing rather than locking onto you, so if you're not confident in swapping to pray magic, you can just run away when you see the purple stuff 2 Killing the tidal pool tsunami things that masuta spawns WHEN IN MELEE DISTANCE (2 tiles away max) will give you damage resistance against his magic attacks in the final phase. You can see the tiny first icon on Froggie's buff bar that appears from 16:30. The magic attacks hit pretty hard, and each MD kill gives 5% damage resistance, so this is probably worth doing 3 As an alternative method for learning Seiryu, what I think is easier is to stay further back and camp pray magic. This means A) you won't find yourself with a death triangle spawning underneath you, which is easily the deadliest mechanic for Froggie's method, and B) all you have to do to avoid all of Seiryu's mechanics except dragon breath is to just move now and again Dragon breath barely hits through magic prayer (at or below 3k) so you can either ignore it if you like/heal through it or use devotion to cancel all its damage, or any other defensive you like (resonance will heal you, reflect and debilitate will cut its damage, divert will give you adrenaline, etc.) 4 Not the lowest effort thing, but if you don't have mobile on your gear then powerbursts of acceleration can be really nice for spamming surge and dive in a couple parts of the dungeon.
19:11, I figured out what he's talking about "extending Devotion" means. Devotion initially lasts 9.6s. During that time, each enemy you kill will add another 4.8s. This is important because while Devotion is active, his Deflect Magic curse blocks 100% magic attacks rather than 50%. He uses Devotion at 19:04 which gives him 9.6s (timer shows 10s). He kills the first Pylon at 19:12 extending timer from 2s to 7s. He kills the next Pylon at 19:16 extending timer again. (I'm only just starting to grasp pvm concepts and want to repeat what others may already be taking for granted)
also, as a sort of emergency precaution; you can Res the big fire breath attack that Seiryu does. Saved my ass many a time back in the day from previous hand slappings.
YOU CAN ALSO GET SEIRYU DOWN IN A SINGLE ROTATION WITH ENOUGH DPS I DO ALMOST EVERTIME WITH NECRO JUST MARK OF DEATH THE CRYSTALS AND EOF WITH DEATH GUARD ALMOST FREE 60K DMG BETWEEN THOSE 2 FOR EACH CRYSTAL, ITLL MAKE MUCH EASIER
Low effort guide. Not that marking is high effort, but you'd be amazed at how little effort pushes the bar up for the average player. Damage is so high anymore that a 1 cycle is pretry easy. You're not wrong, just pretty easy is very subjective.
I said the same thing. So many other content creators complain there's nothing new in the game, but our guy froggy just gets down to business putting out massively useful info ❤
Hi Froggie, any chance we could get different combat style guides like this, I just came back to RS and I'm not part of the Necroscape movement yet, I'm still stuck in my old combat ways, currently Melee. Love the content, keep up the good work!
He has several guides that use various styles. But the reason why he does necro is because necro is very friendly to afk with. That's because of the lack of switches, ease of access, and is overall very learner friendly. Necro training isn't bad, and the path to best in slot necro is fun!! You should try it and relive your low level days 🙂
Such a well timed video, I have 3 quests to go and have been avoiding The Curse of the Black Stone. I’m gonna probably try to get Zuk cape and then tackle this beast.
Hi froggie been watching you lately and I’m getting back into rs, have been running ed1 and I feel like it’s one of the most consistent money making methods in the game lol
You don’t need to kill the hanto sellswords to open the door. I usually bladed dive-surge past them to avoid aggro.

You can DODGE Seiryu's breath? I mostly just used defensives in the past.

@@PillagingGinger100% agree with you, I was a casual player that came back for basically Xmas events but necro got me play regularly lol

You can do that quest in story mode. Using necromancy it shouldn't be too terribly difficult at all
You can probably beat story mode with darkness and no prayer
