Very useful tutorial, but do you know whats this problem? : I paired the remote to the iphone and to the hover app but after 10 secs of using it keep on disconnecting from the hover app. Is super annoying and could not find any solution to this. 🙏🏽
I was able to connect per your instructions with the same unit to my Hover Air X1. However, by pressing the up and down controls on the remote, I wasn’t able to cause the drone to rise up or down. Everything else worked. Does anyone have any tips that would help me? I’m headed to Hawaii in four days and while the drone itself is fine, I would love to be able to use the remote to control the z axis! Please help from a fellow enthusiast of this beautiful little pocket sized drone that is turning the industry upside down. Sort of. But hey it’s awesome right?
I would think it's the controller issue, such a product can be simple but I don't believe the QC control is of high standards due to the low cost. But I can't be sure unless you have a spare one to rest with. Sorry I can't be of more help...
@@alangadgets I returned the unit and ordered another one. If I run into the same problem I plan on digging deeper into the issue. It worked in every way EXCEPT for being able to rise up…somehow I feel like the issue might be in the bios or with a missing update. I won’t be impatient with the next unit. I truly want to see this little bird fly and become a bit more of a drone (but admittedly a very short range one). And now with the new DJI Neo, I plan on buying that one too since it will hook up with all of my other DJI products (controller, goggles, flight stick). In fact I’m going all in on the pre-order as we speak. The use cases are different. Hover’s use case is just to be a folded up drone in my pocket needing nothing else, most of the time. Neo on the other hand would be one that you bring on vacations or to places where you PLAN on shooting video.
Try to Forget the device via the connected Bluetooth list and pair it again. Bluetooth devices have such issues all the time, it's quite common even for big names like Nikon remotes. Hope this helps, pls sub 🙏🏻😁
@@alangadgets i have the same issue, do you know any way to solve? the control pairs ok, and if i go to whatsapp i can use all the buttons, but in the hover app only works the shoot picture buton, is that because the keyboard language? because i have it on english US... thanks for your content!
@@alehias I set my phone to English (Singapore) and it worked, I don't think region matters as long as it's English. Have you tried forgetting the Bluetooth and pair them again? It's hard to troubleshoot without your devices with me 😅 pls sub if you haven't already 😊

Sorry but I don't have an iPhone. Is there a low power mode for Bluetooth? If there is maybe disable it and try again.

It would depend a lot on the wind condition. It is quite stable in mild wind, but strong crosswind will cause it to sway sideways

It will move at a constant speed, unlike regular controllers with joysticks, this one uses buttons and so you can't control the speed
I am using the micro version. I works yesterday but not work today. However it showed connected on the screen.

Didn't work for me, I didn't try flying it I just tried the shoot button which did work but the gimbal button didn't work

unfortunately, this drone is far from sophisticated and offers no way to tune the ratings...
Can you use the manual control over water?
Yes but not recommended, it would not hold position while hovering
