My boss is a NP in Psychiatry and her husband is a Psychiatrist. They specialize in Children and Adolescents. It can be emotionally draining but there are kids who do get better. I know how you felt finding that cross. I was at a family get-together on Christmas Eve and my great-niece had barely gotten through the door and my eyes had gone straight to my grandmother's sapphire ring on her hand! I was so thrilled as I hadn't seen it in decades. My sister, as the eldest granddaughter had inherited it and NEVER WORE IT!!I I had begged just to wear it occasionally and she refused. When my sister passed away at age 54 from leukemia the ring then was inherited by her eldest granddaughter whom I very rarely get to see. Bayleigh was so surprised that I had noticed it so quickly and was happy to tell me that she wears it daily. Never takes it off since it's real gold, small diamonds, and a 2 carat emerald cut sapphire! It brought memories of my grandmother to my mind and memories of my sister (Bayleigh's Grams). It was a very sweet few moments for just the two of us. I wish you only the best in the new year! And don't overwork yourself. Enjoy life and check in with us when YOU feel like it. None of us are demanding content on any specific time schedule. You do you! 😍

I love the story and the cross from your great grandma. I have so many beautiful, treasured pieces from my sweet mom, who passed, at 91 in 2020...that I hold dear. Some I gave to her, some she treated herself to, as she loved to buy jewelry for her, and for me. ❤ I also have pieces of her mom's, my grandma, who lived next door to us, who I was close to. Also, my grandma's father, Pop, my great grandpa, who I loved, lived next door, until I was 7 years old. Sadly I lost a beautiful gold/diamond ring of his I loved. But I do have two matching ruby/gold rings, he gifted one to my grandma and one to my mom...and ruby is my birthstone. Anyway, those are the real treasures; the memories attached from loved ones give meaning, and the real value to these precious pieces. Your grandma was "visiting" you, and reminding you she's always with you. Enjoy wearing it again and feeling her love. xo
I can relate to how you feel about the cross from your great grandma. My mom was in the Navy during WW 2 and had received a plain silver band stamped with US Navy insignia . Many decades later, she lost it while raking keaves. But I found the exact one in an antique shop and bought it for her. She loved it and after some time, she gave it to me as the older she got, she wore less jewelry. Well the last big move I made from New Jersey to upstate NY, it got lost.!! I have 2 stand up jewelry armoires and they were bungee corded closed and all my good jewelry was kept with me, not with the movers. Then my mom passed and I even had my husband check all the sink drains just in case. Well about a year to the day she died, I was looking at my rings and there was the navy ring that I bought her to teplace the one she lost.!! I went through each and evey ring compartments searching for it several times. I am still baffled to this day how it happened to mysteriously show up. I like to think my mom played a part in returning it from where ever it was lost. PS Anyway, Happy New Year to you and Paul and Louie! And Max too 🎉

Hi Nisha I am the same. I have so much jewelry, but it’s those diamond ones that are always in style. I cannot seem to get rid of any of it though. You could definitely still wear that cross. It is timeless. The jewelry you showed us is very pretty too. We had a raffle at church..there was a six hundred dollar basket of hair products and probably fifteen other things . I put my tickets in the hair basket but put one ticket in beautiful little flocked tree . I won it, but I did not know a beautiful silver pendant and earrings went a long with the tree. It was a vintage set that was sixty years old a lady had and never wore. It is beautiful and more my style than the statement jewelry I hold on to. Nisha , I am sure you remember gold used to not be so expensive. My husband bought me real gold and real diamond necklaces…not big diamonds but the prices were not like now. Your story about your great grandmother reminded me when I was a teenager I wanted a real silver necklace with a real diamond . I could not believe my parents bought it for me. I guess I lost it. Love this video! So glad you are still making informative, and entertaining videos. As to ear piercing(s), during the pandemic I purchased a kit on Amazon and put an extra hole in each ear. I was extremely careful and they turned out great! I’ve become much more minimalistic than I was in all my past. I wear a pair of 14k gold studs in the top hole and a delicate thin small hoop on the bottom. I take them out to clean, on Sunday nights. Otherwise, wear 24/7. I have a ton of nice earrings that I rarely wear now. I feel guilty about that, some. Most are in a safe, never to see the light of day 🙄. Thinking about adding another hole in my upper ear. That one I’ll have done professionally!
I am 61 and seriously considering getting a second hole in each ear! Thinking about a very small diamond stud that always stays in the top. But, now that I think about it...I, too, have a pair of small gold studs that would work up there too! Thanks for sharing as it has given me a new idea! 😊
Oh, interesting, I didn't know you could buy a kit for that but I think I would be scared to do it wrong and at the wrong angle so my earrings wouldn't hang straight😂😂
