Can you make a video about your application process and requirements? Here in Guangzhou, they require a yearly salary pre-tax of 780,000 RMB for a few years in order to get one. There is also a spousal one I heard you can apply for after being married for five years, which I am, but I was told you would still require the work visa process to continue working with that one.
I applied for mine in February 2024, after 6 months i was asked to update some documents that subsequently became out of date, it’s now December and I’m still waiting! A little frustrating, especially when you ring up for an update the response is the same, we will call you if we have any news. I hope to hear and have some good news soon, it would be a nice Christmas present!

Speaking of the negatives, when i went back to China I had to show both my passport and the green card in the US and China's airports. It seems to be a common practice everywhere.

@@TravelinChina 哎， 我在北美入了籍， 中国不允许双重国际， 因此我无法保留中国国籍。 真要回去的话， 也很有可能再拿回中国籍，因为我曾经是中国人。但眼下家在这里， 孩子还在上学， 以后退休了，这里还能有退休金， 医疗保险等。 那么回国就比较麻烦。 我是说是我自身与家庭的麻烦， 不是国内办身份证的过程麻烦（当然， 像我这类人在国内重新办身份证可能也要拖个几年， 不会那么容易）。很想回国住， 但身不由己啊。 再说吧。再次恭喜你！ 好好珍惜你的永久身份证。

希望你能顺利拿到五星卡，的确我们国家的人口太多，所以政府不会那么轻易让外国朋友拿到中国的永久居住权。但我们中国人也觉得不合理，希望给予热爱中国，喜欢中国或是希望在中国生活的外国朋友永久居住权

我是华侨，没有中国身份证，户口被注销了，现在重新办理，要放弃外国的绿卡才给恢复户口，手续还很繁琐。恭喜你拿到中国的绿卡。
我孩子是德国出生的，他17岁我才给他报了户口，没有要求他放弃绿卡，他有德国的永久居留。

说来说去也是永久居住证吧。。。还有出境遗失这卡，应该是可以到当地中国大使馆写个证明，或手机把证件拍个照片，拿给中国海关看然后指纹和头像核对身份也应该能入关。。这种在系统里边有电脑记录的。能查到

有“五星卡”參照國內身分證，任意一家酒店都可以，中國大陸已經廢除【外国人只能登记入住拥有外宾接待资格的酒店】這一條規定！比較小酒店或者民宿不能連接護照查詢系統拒絕外國人入住！（護照查詢系統需要專用連接線路和設備，每個月都會有費用）港澳台居民有居住證的同樣參照國內身分證！

Don't you have to hand in your green card once you get citizenship? You need citizenship in order to get passport.
