I'm sincerely grateful for all your attention to detail. I have a tendency to throw things together and wonder why it isn't working correctly. You make me stop and take the time to do it with more precision, it makes all the difference.
Thank you for the tips that you've given in this tutorial... really appreciate this. Even those of us who learned to sew a looooong time ago, sometimes forget some of the basics.
BEAUTIFUL quilt Stephanie, I love the quilt, pattern, colors and your teaching style. Truly your choice of fabrics enhance your quilts. You are such a thorough and amazing teacher. My favorite tip: slowing down and holding your finger to the side as you get to the end of your seam. I’ve been editing my comment as I watch the video so I have a new favorite tip: using a scant 1/4 inch so you can trim down the square.
Love that fabric. I heard years ago to not iron open because the batting can sneak out little fluffy things, but battings are so much better today, plus if you press the seam to one side, there is less stress on the seam making it stronger so it doesn't pop open. At least that's the rumours I heard.....lol
...also, if you iron your seams 'open'....stitching in the ditch is actually stitching thread onto thread on the front...not catching the fabric at all....
I really like the way you show us how you place your hands and tips that will make thing easier and accurate for me I am about to be a beginner quilter. I like your videos.
Amazing effort to make this video during this very special time! Looks GREAT, have been enjoying the fabric, can't wait to 'get into it' with this pattern!
Leslie Jenkins A fussy cut is a piece of fabric that's been cut to target a specific area of a print, rather than cutting the yardage into random pieces.
There are a couple kit options. Finishing kits are meant for Stashin’ with Stephanie subscribers and contain what they need to turn their bundle into a completed quilt, usually a few extra fat quarters, background fabric and binding. The regular kits contain everything needed for the top and binding. We usually offer three different sizes for both options, so you can get the size you prefer.

What is the difference on the kits? Do they both come with everything ended to complete a quilt?
