    Hendry will always be the greatest for me. He was my boyhood hero! I think it's beautifully ironic that considering what he was apparently renouned for as a player ( reserved, antisocial, zero banter, etc ) and the constant negative reception he received from crowds especially the more successful he became that he is now genuinely thee best, most natural interviewer/commentator in the sport. His videos with other players especially Ronnie during covid were brilliant. I have to say that Mark Williams is without doubt my 2nd favourite snooker player ever. Amazing video Stephen! I am pleased to see that you begun making this kind of content on youtube. I am a fan of yours since 2000 if I remember well, you made the game look so easy back then, event though I was like 6 or so, I quickly learned the basic rules and since then I always watch snooker with pleasure. I even played a real game once on a local pool club in my city. Kinda challenging for me, a non-native english speaker to understand scottish and welsh, but for the most part I understood you guys. Sadly, as Mark stated in the video, it seems the atmosphere and the matches are not the same as before, I don't know why, but I keep watching on Eurosport this wonderful sport, it's addictive sometimes to see the best fight for the trophies. My next suggestion of a match for the next video would be Mark Selby, my other favorite I have on this sport, since you retired in 2012 I kinda sympathized him, the way he played snooker, plus he seems to be my doppelgänger, event though I'm younger than him. I wish you best of luck and stay safe and healthy, Golden Boy. Greetings from Romania!

    Might do a story about the most obscure player of the class of '92...
    No not Joe Perry, but Stephen Lee who is coming up on serving out his 12 year suspension...
    Or maybe on the delivery driver who helped produce the Class of '92 Wow what a bunch of players...

    This was the most fun video I have watched in some time. In America, we get ZERO coverage of the players away from the tournament. Maybe a one-minute interview clip and that is all. We get no sense of the player's personality. Seeing this casual interaction between two legends was just cool as hell. Instant Like & Subscribe.

      Snooker quite popular over in the states?

    • @brianlakso1066
      @brianlakso1066 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@stu2333 On the contrary. I am one of three people I know who actually follow the sport, and I have only actually seen one 12-foot snooker table in any of the billiard halls in my area (Buffalo, NY). It's all pool in the US, and sadly for us, we are lagging behind Europe & Asia in that respect as well. Snooker is just a tremendous game. It is chess too pool's checkers. I still love pool of course, but seeing a best of 33 match at The Crucible is just next-level stuff.

    That was an instant subscribe. Love the video.
    The one I'd wanted to see most is unfortunately no longer among us: Paul Hunter. I think he was the one that could've given Ronnie a run for his money. Judd nowadays can sometimes do it, and Ronnie himself says Zhao Xintong is probably better than him at that age. Paul just had that flair that made him so special. So sad we lost him that early.

    The way interviews should be ! Relaxed, honest and a bit of banter. 3 Qs I'd love the answer to from every Pro who retired.. 1- Did eyesight contribute? 2- Did physicality contribute? 3- Did the love of the game contribute?

    Two of the games greatest players and characters. And I also, like many of the other people on here, love Stephens commentary. Knows the game inside out, has walked the walk and now talks the talk. As for Willo.....the game is blessed to have such a great player. Has an extremely laid back attitude which I think helps him. Doesn't put any pressure on himself and goes out there to do what he loves. And he's very very funny. And a genuinely nice guy who loves interacting with fans whether it be at venues or on social media. The world could do with more people like Willo.
