Reality TV shows are so revealing. I understand Susie's position 100% because her dad even said she raises the highest standards for everything. And yes Clayton may have had feelings for the other 2 but this is where he had to discern what would last for a lifetime. Sad that he lost a wonderful lady. She knew that there was a good chance he would sleep with 1 or both of the other girls, and being the third made her salty. She used this as an out. When she came back after she walked away totally flipping the story, he saw right through her. Poor Clayton has been manipulated by the girls and producers all season and finally stood up for himself.
Here’s the thing I think Susie didn’t realize Clayton sleeping with other would bother her until he told her he loved her, then all of her flags went up. It’s one thing for him to still be figuring things out and need to explore those other relationships psychically to make a decision, it’s another thing for him to have known he loved her for a while(like he claimed) and still sleep with other people. That probably made her feel uneasy and like he didn’t really love or only love her. She kept saying “I believe him but I feel confused,” girl, that’s your gut, just listen to it.

I’m proud of Susie! In my opinion if a man loves you he doesn’t need to try the others on for size. If he wasn’t sure who he loved then he should of kept quiet. I felt it was obvious for the first time he had strong feelings for her. Just the way he talked about her as he was getting ready for their date. If so, why would you jeopardize that by sleeping with the other two. And ladies, how many men do you know would be okay with “ by the way I slept with the other two men and I’m in love with them, but I truly love you”

It’s implied on this show that the lead may sleep with multiple people. A contestant can’t just stick a flag in him and say no touchy because that’s their body. Hannah B’s season had this same situation just different context. HB is hailed a queen for her reaction to Luke (a rightful reaction) but Clayton isn’t entitled to the same and is deemed a gaslighter/narcissist? She waited until now to bring it up and that’s on her. That’s a lack of communication on her part. Would it have changed anything? We don’t know that. But you can’t say he’s not allowed to be frustrated with that lack of communication because he didn’t know that was a deal breaker for her. He’s not totally fully to blame here.

I will say, that having difficult conversations is a learned skill. Some are more gifted than others and oftentimes it takes self-reflection and growth and learning to have a tough conversation very well. Susie clearly holds herself very well and has learned how to have a tough conversation well and communicate effectively. Clayton may have less experience with that and may get better as he reflects and learns and grows from this conversation and future tough conversations he has with others.

100! I think it's unreasonable to sleep with anyone on the show and still pursue other people. So I do agree with both but It's crazy how he was seen as a villain for wanting a normal relationship but she was seen as a hero.
I get why he feels like she should have brought up her concerns earlier on, but even if she had, would that really have changed the outcome? I’m thinking even if she’d said before hometowns that this was a dealbreaker, we might still be in this situation. For everyone siding with Clayton or making this about her reservations about the physical intimacy, that's not how I'm seeing it. From the moment she brought it up here Susie made it clear that it was more about the feelings of "love" being expressed - could she believe that theirs was solid and dependable if he's telling the exact same thing to another woman? Two, for that matter? Yes, this is the fantasy suites, things happen, I get that. We all get that. But the issue isn't even so much that he was intimate (personally that's a whole problem on this show in general and a whole different argument), but that he's running around telling every single woman he has feelings for them. By THIS point in time? Less than a week out from an engagement? He should already know who it is that he loves, who it is he wants to pick. And if he doesn't? Fine! But then he's NOT ready to get engaged. Period. And any woman less than a week out from getting engaged has the right to know how solid her connection with this person is or if she's sharing their affections with someone else. It's not about "hey you with-held this" it's about "hey, we're a week out from getting engaged - are you sure that I'm the one or is your affection and attention divided?"

It's because in America we now live in a gynocentric social order that caters to the female imperative. This is the clearest example you can have. The narrative with Clayton that is evident by the comments is despite not being exclusive with any of the women, it was his obligation to clearly and concisely communicate and disclose his intent every step of the way in order to not mislead or misinform any of the women. Also that it's not possible to love someone and sleep with others even though there is a shared connection with others? However, on Hannah's season the main narrative was she didn't owe Luke an apology or understanding for her actions because there was no implied exclusivity on the show, and that she was there to explore and find who she was most compatible with, and to do so would include her being intimate with others.

People were saying at the time that LukeP was trying to dictate Hannah's choices. It's funny how there is a double standard that if Susie brings up similar concerns to Clayton, they're seen as more legitimate reasons. Here’s the thing I think Susie didn’t realize Clayton sleeping with other would bother her until he told her he loved her, then all of her flags went up. It’s one thing for him to still be figuring things out and need to explore those other relationships psychically to make a decision, it’s another thing for him to have known he loved her for a while(like he claimed) and still sleep with other people. She waited until now to bring it up and that’s on her. That’s a lack of communication on her part. Would it have changed anything? We don’t know that. I will say, that having difficult conversations is a learned skill. Some are more gifted than others and oftentimes it takes self-reflection and growth and learning to have a tough conversation very well. Susie clearly holds herself very well and has learned how to have a tough conversation well and communicate effectively. Clayton may have less experience with that and may get better as he reflects and learns and grows from this conversation and future tough conversations he has with others.
As if Clayton wasn't already disliked by many I'd be surprised if he had a single fan left now. Every word out of his mouth sunk him into the quicksand deeper and deeper. Susie you truly won the season by walking away!!!

For everyone siding with Clayton or making this about her reservations about the physical intimacy, that's not how I'm seeing it. From the moment she brought it up here Susie made it clear that it was more about the feelings of "love" being expressed - could she believe that theirs was solid and dependable if he's telling the exact same thing to another woman? Two, for that matter? Yes, this is the fantasy suites, things happen, I get that. We all get that. But the issue isn't even so much that he was intimate (personally that's a whole problem on this show in general and a whole different argument), but that he's running around telling every single woman he has feelings for them. The narrative with Clayton that is evident by the comments is despite not being exclusive with any of the women, it was his obligation to clearly and concisely communicate and disclose his intent every step of the way in order to not mislead or misinform any of the women. Also that it's not possible to love someone and sleep with others even though there is a shared connection with others?
However, on Hannah's season the main narrative was she didn't owe Luke an apology or understanding for her actions because there was no implied exclusivity on the show, and that she was there to explore and find who she was most compatible with, and to do so would include her being intimate with others.
