Turn the tank around so fill is where the fuel hoses is then put a same size tank on the other side with fuel hose splice fuel lines together with a fuel switch life is good
Thanks for your review, just bought the 2025 model, breaking it in now and can't wait to trick it out!! I am walleye fisherman up north so plan on fishing until the lake ices out. I plan on adding another 6 gallon tank on the other side for extra range and weight balance.
Maybe build a hinged plywood box for storage that is level with the front step up deck, comes back even with the column and goes across hull to the left sidewall. Carpet it to match the front deck. It will look like part of the front deck and double your storage space.
Nice boat and good honest review. One question if you don't mind. Do you find the boat is difficult to bass fish out of? I'm asking because I read in some of the bass fishing forums that deep v boats catch a lot of wind, making it hard for bass fishing. Since you're a bass fisherman and have a deep v boat, I think your opinion would be from the real world. Thanks.
@@Jon_boat_adventures I don’t have any issues fishing out of. I grew up fishing out of a deep v so I’m very used to it. It certainly catches wind but the stability outweighs the cons for me. I’d say it is a very very minor issue.
Quick update on a few things I forgot to mention. The 42lb thrust trolling motor is fine for most people, but if you fish heavy cover/weeds, current, or go on long trips, you'll need to upgrade. I plan to upgrade to a 24V system, if space allows in the back, and at least 70lb thrust. Regarding the storage hatches, I do leave them open to let them air out when in storage and not in use. (forgot to mention in the video) Another note on the trailer: Man, the boat loads and unloads so easily. The trailer fits the boat perfectly. My wife, who has no boating experience has no issues loading and unloading the boat at the ramp. Very impressed. Lastly, why didn't I get the BASS TRACKER Classic XL (same price) (16' 8'' - Average Package Weight 1705 lbs.)?? - for an avid bass fisherman, this is going to be the better option, it appears to have better and more useable storage, but both are budget fishing boat options and are not perfect by any means. We went with the Deep V because my wife and I both like how high the sides of the boat are. We fish lakes with a lot of huge gators and we feel safer with the higher sides and more comfortable/stable in the deep V, plus my dad had a 90s deep V boat and it holds a ton of nostalgia for me, so this was the one for us.
You don't have a gas gauge on the column because the portable tank is independent. You can buy a built in tank that sits where this one is and is bigger. A gas port and gauge can be mounted on the top of the present cover. Good luck.
I have a 2021 same Exact boat. But that model came with bigger gas tank and gas gauge. It has a fill cap on the back of the boat. I wonder why they want away from that

Not a bad idea.
Your excellent review was VERY helpful in my decision to buy this model. Sold... Thank you, sir.

Is 50HP really enough?
@@Kendo65 I run 28 / 30 mph loaded down with gear and two people. I’m not complaining
@ I was thinking more about the engine’s acceleration and how it gets up on plane.
trailer looks powder coated not galvanized
@@lowtechredneck you’re right. Good catch
The wiring looks like a mess, does it come like that?
Yea, came like that. I did run a temp line for my fish finder but I plan to fully rerun and tiddy them up a bit here soon.
Not sure why you bought this boat. You say small complaints, but they aren’t really small.
@@LawrenceKentz I explained why I bought the boat multiple times.
