For 1996, it was one of those years where there was an outright favourite and was ahead of everyone else, and not due to judges bias or judges forcing a delegate's victory. Miss Venezuela really did a fine job and won fans and the audiences over.

The interpreter is excellent, and his batch is known for their great work at Miss Universe for many years. But this was his only error in all his years with the pageant! However, he just helped her make her answer more humourous, that's all. Her actual answer was fine, and she was going to win anyway. Alicia overall, was the best overall from all ladies, and the best overall performance. It was one of those years where one candidate dominated.
