“Only Capone kills like that”. My great great grandmother was in her 20’s during this time! Radio was in its infancy, and television wasn’t even a thought! If this was my era, I probably would’ve been a gangster too 😂
Once the police arrived and opened the door, Highball ran out and was never seen again. His constant barking after the murders alerted an apartment dweller next door, went inside and seeing the horror called the cops. The dog was chained and the man left him there to make the call. Somehow he freed himself in his frenzy, and when they arrived he bolted.
Another mistake and a big one: a photo of a young man is shown saying that it is Henry Gusenberg's... The one who appears in the photo is Pete when he was young and they took a mugshot of him. Henry was never imprisoned and had a very limited interference in the life dedicated to crime that his two brothers, Pete and Frank, led (he was the middle brother, not the youngest, as has been repeated). His two brothers used him to propose him as a candidate for the presidency of the film projectors union against Maloy, although they failed in the attempt. Henry was listed as a film projector but it seems that when the Bundesen Commission questioned him, the guy admitted not knowing how to project a film. Apparently, some criminal elements wanted him to supplant his brothers in the gang, but Henry refused. He led an apparently honest life, far from organized crime. He died, much loved by his neighbors in 1978. He always tried to have a very low profile and not draw attention to himself. Their only son, George, never got over the death of his uncles and fell into dementia. He was 11 years old or 12 when the Massacre occurred. He died at the Elgin, Illinois Mental Institution in 1977.
Answers: 1) They needed a hit team because the Gusenbergs and James Clark were formidable enemies. 2) Weinshank was the target because of his control of certain unions. 3) Bolton was lying.
Same old mistakes: Sergeant Sweeney was neither a friend of Frank Gusenberg nor questioned him on his deathbed; this corresponds to Sergeant Thomas Loftus. Sweeney put himself in his place in all the stories but the one who was with Frank until the end and questioned him was Loftus. Then again, Frank never said, "Nobody shot me," that's a myth repeated over and over again. He refused to talk, yes, but it is also possible that he remembered very little of what happened in the garage. Frank must have been in a state of cerebral anemia, since he had almost no blood in his body. His heart beat dryly, without blood, for a long time, which is an extraordinary fact in medical science. On the other hand, another repeated and repeated myth is that Albert Kachellek (aka James Clark) was Moran's brother-in-law and his lieutenant...Nothing even remotely similar to that happened. Kachellek had married Elma Manke in 1925, who gave him a son, Fred, who was surprisingly born in 1910, when Elma was married to a certain John Koslowski, who committed suicide due to his then wife's refusal to abandon Jimmy, with who had gone to live. Fred Kachellek died in 1982 in Palm Beach, Florida, leaving behind children and grandchildren. Elma married two more times and was widowed both times. Her last husband's last name was Schenk and he was a professional chef born in Bavaria. She, however, is buried next to Albert Kachellek.
This is the first video showing a photo of Mike Baldwin and Ken Barlow from Coronation Street in a gangster video about the St Valentines Day Massacre. I bet Dierdre Barlow had something to do with it.
he also worked w/ Corman on 'Bloody Mama' (not factual, but they're portrayed to be pretty freaky), an outstanding crime film, where Shelley Winters plays Ma Barker. Dern was a bad guy in that for sure. Herman Barker(Don Stroud) didn't like him much. but his brother brought him home from his latest stretch in prison. DeNiro I think, plays Lloyd, the glue sniffing junkie. just a regular poor family Wintering in a rental cottage in Florida in the Great depression, the toughest times the USA has ever seen, w/ their brand new cars, and no legal source of income. they say "living well" is the best revenge, hell.,if half the family wasn't in prison, they may have put up a more serious fight .an actual gun battle .the FEDS got there at a good time, w/ only one gunman inside, as 'MA' didn't engage in firefights in real life. unless her son(which one was it?) told her , "just hold it real tight, Ma, and aim at the FBI." I think that's possible, being outgunned, and all. but she normally stayed out of any talk, or even suggestion of crime. even though the FBI spread a bunch of lies about her posthumously, I take my hat off to them for all of a sudden using Tommy guns against Tommy guns. it was only a few months since they were taught to use firearms instead of just checking prints, license plates, and such.
If they was receiving a liquor shipment why were most of the guys dressed in their best? They were having a meeting and Ted Newberry dimed it out to Al Capone. He had switched sides prior.

Lol there was seven victims in the svd massacre but on your thumbnail video preview thing you have a picture of pete gusenburg twice, upper left corner AND in the center. Lol but I don’t mean to nitpick, it’s just I understand it’s hard to find any useful, reliable, authentic photos of Reinhard Schwimmer, the Optician who was the north side gangs “front man” who they used when the gang needed to a accomplish certain tasks like opening a bank account or purchasing a house or car or business l, things that were off limits to the rest of the gang who all had criminal convictions on their records. Reinhard Schwimmer was an unlikely “hanger-on” who apparently despite his operating his own clinic also had a disreputable side as he likes to pass himself off as an ophthalmologist (eg an eyeball doctor) rather than just an optician (an eyeglass lens maker and fitter) a huge difference in amount of medical training and overall prestige.
Another posted video here on TH-cam (perhaps taken down since I last viewed it) had a photo of Schwimmer. In that photo, he appeared to be exactly what he was: a non-criminal, or non-gangster, with a youngish, innocent-looking face.

You grow up "IN" a neighborhood not "ON" a neighbor.
Looked up 1859 West North Ave also. (9:57) Noticed the modern building on the site, and Boxcar Betty's Fried Chicken across the street.
Same with 509 N.Clark St. Modern building.
And just saw the wall at the Mob Museum a few weeks ago. Check out my vid.

It was the downfall of Al Capone, killing people in the back with their hands up was a dog move,
