Think some of you are being a little harsh on Elliott. None of our usual presenters could make it to the Miami or Palm Beach shows this year so Elliott kindly agreed to help out by filming a few of the top new launches for us. Without his help we wouldn’t have got to see these boats. It takes time to hone the right skills but I’m sure he’ll take your comments into consideration for any future tours.
I think Hugo is spot on. This is not an easy job. As anyone who had done any photography as a hobby you quickly find out it's hard and fiddly to do well. Look at Aquaholic's early videos and you will see the same struggles. These last two videos were much better technically and the boat info was great. Elliot gave a real feeling for what this new Boston Whaler was all about.
Hugo - you are spot on with your response. There are millions of us viewers who simply hit the play icon and then sit here and pass comment as if we have the knowledge and understanding on what it takes to deliver a blog on YT - when in fact we know sod all about what that entails. It may not have been the best out there but its something nonetheless!
To try and get perspective the lens is too fisheye, and yes I did correct it after the first batch of videos from Miami Boat show over 2 months ago, so Palm Beach content is a little better. Some videos are already published from Miami so expect the same “sorry about that. This was a boat from that first batch. This Boston Whaler is a 60 mph (52 knot) plus powerhouse that can take more punishment than most boats on the market. It is full of features that cost huge amounts of money. Seakeeper 60K, 2 x Mercury 600’s 100k each rigged, lithium ion full house capable another 50K at least. and with a joystick control and digital anchoring more again (US $). The chap interviewed is one of the best marine engineers is the industry. He has personally run this actual boat for hours in up to 15 foot seas, and was not there to sell boats, he is the man that develops them and oversees the technology. He was there to talk to the press and as it turns out the MBY audience. My conversation with him was candid and hopefully informative. This boat is what the future looks like at the premium end of this segment. Right now this video represents the pinnacle of what you get in this breed. It’s not for everyone, but what I can tell you is. If you can afford it, and you want one. You had better be willing to wait over 18 months, they are oversold and the boat is phenomenal for its purpose. Please feel free comment, happy to answer boat oriented comments 👍
I would have to agree with Hugo Andreae, people are being too harsh on Elliot. There has been a marked improvement on the photography side, and I think he provides a lot of info on what makes each boat special and unique. I for one am thrilled to have an American correspondent for MB&Y. I would vote to keep Elliot on as a permanent part of the team. American boating is simply not the same as European.
I did not get the cost of that boat loaded with the 2nd helm station, carbon fibre outriggers, lithium ion tech, sea keeper and twin 600’s. All huge cost items. Base boat I think with triple 300’s is around $580k I would educated guess around $900K in this guise would be realistic and it is capable of well over 52 knots even with all the extra weight.
Lose the massive fisheye lens…. If you’re going to supply product for MB&Y at least let it be using the same kit. Thus you retain some sense of corporate identify. Honestly this seems nothing like an MB&Y production. It really needs to be kept under the presenters own banner
To be fair, the gentleman is the technical director for Boston Whaler and he had just given a 15 minute technical briefing at the boats press launch. We were lucky to catch him first and get his time for so much depth and detail. I did also literally collar him for the tour.
Seriously you are moaning about someone holding a water bottle its a youtube channel he wasn't showing the queen of England around the boat , why do people write such bullshit
"If your being interviewed" Perhaps the yaw of your yacht caused a mistype, but if you're writing your please check if your your should be your you're, you're welcome.
I just watched a very nice video of a beautiful Boston Whaler, while listening to a man beaming with pride about his involvement with said vessel. After I watched the video, I thought I’d check out the comment section to see what other viewers thought about this boat as I did. Well low and behold, I just read that another viewer was watching the gentleman’s hands instead of the boat. That’s kind of weird I thought, but to each their own. I think I’ll stop reading the comments now as I might see someone else complaining that his shoes were not polished, or that he might be wearing the incorrect belt buckle for the video. Great video, exceptional boat!

Hi Elliot, great video, great insight too from the BW team. Keep em coming!
Thank you Ben
Beautiful boat but at what cost…? 🙃
Probably close to a million dollars but quality costs and so do 2x600hp v12 motors.

$1 mil. Probably. Ridiculous.
not keen on this new presenter guy. not sure why but he's not a patch on the usual presenters.
Note to Boston whaler. If your being interviewed don't carry a bottle of water around with you. It looks awfull

I bet he can spell awful correctly though 🤣
