I agree, but I still feel like he should've done it just because the fans wanted it at least. Come to some type of common ground and work it out. I still think it would be EPIC.
You really can't blame Chris he got cheated out of his money in the first film so he left which also turned out to be a good thing because he could have gotten typecast which is a career derailer. In my opinion he made the right decision plus the man has kids now and he has to set an example for them. We need more black people to do what he is doing to help us grow as a people. (Aside from the fake ass christian slave master religion) I completely agree with Chris decisions

Marsha Malone But you gotta remember movie sets have a time frame to when and where they are gonna be filming and I’m sure at that point it was either Chris would go back and forth between sets (which not a lot of ppl do) or the movie directors to wait until he is available which also isn’t done most of the time. And let’s not forget that there was a lot more money coming into his pocket with all the other movies he did unlike Friday.

There was a DEFINITE void when Smokey didn't return to Next Friday and it is what it is. Him leaving made Friday an indelible classic never to be repeated. The next installments helped to introduce other people like Mike Epps into Hollywood. So, even though we will always feel the absence of that character, knowing that it gave chances to more people for a come up tends to soften that blow. Besides, when Mike started talking about Baby Dee, I was NO MORE GOOD!😅🤣😂

They can always play off of the fact smokey went to rehab. It evolves the character in a way and allows tucker to put a new spin on an old part. Just sayin.
