I think the show should consider a story line with adoption rather having young people and older have unexpected births etc.
They did have an adoption storyline when Whitney and Zack went down the fostering route.

As a woman gets older eggs aren’t fertilised as easily as it would be in a woman younger so it does get harder the older a woman gets
