    For my desktop setup: I'd like to get a FiiO BTR5 for wired headphones (for a pair of Meze Neo's), and this Ugreen looks like a good companion to the BTR5 to make me able to listen to my IEM's with Bluetooth earhooks. So I can choose between wired connection for higher fidelity or wireless freedom when I'm gaming with friends.
    The versatility of that setup is very appealing to me, however, are there better setups out there that do the same thing? Like a USB DAC AMP with built-in Bluetooth RX/TX capabilities and a 3.5mm and 2.5mm Balanced output? (Basically a FiiO BTA30 with outputs for headphones)
    Thanks!

      actually, besides this one I know only one transmitter, and that's FiiO
      so, even if there is a device that suits this requirements, I don't know about it
      if you'll find one, please write a comment, I'd like to get something like that too

      @@PortaFi I bought a BTR5 and the plan is to later upgrade to a desktop DAC/AMP and connect the BTA30 to it. So I can stream LDAC audio across the entire house. However, I'm hesitant on buying the BTA30 atm because I heard there are rumours going around about FiiO releasing a DAC/AMP with Bluetooth TX/RX capabilities. So I'd rather get that instead of 2 separate units. Thank you so much for replying though, I'm enjoying your reviews!

    Could the 2 of them be connected to make a wireless connection? I have a turntable not so close to loudspeakers, would like to avoid connecting them by cable?

      I didn't test such scenario. Hypothetically, it should work, but I'm no certain here

      as I remember right, at least it has signals about low battery

    Is it only using internal battery power to operate, even connected to 5v adapter to the outlet?

      as far as I remember it's using DC power in this case. But it's better to double check with Shanling's support

    Hello my friend, nice vid
    I'm looking forward to get one of these, do you recommend it? Here is what i'm planning to do : Use it in my tv so i can hear the tv audio on my bluetooth headphones, so i can watch some movies quietly, doest it have any kind of delay?

    • @PortaFi
      @PortaFi  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello, sure, I recommend it for such scenario. As for delays, if your headphones supports aptX LL, it'll be really low

    So can it take a bluetooth audio signal and transmit it out to 2 headphones? I want to be able to quickly point my phone or laptop to the cm144 so my partner and i can both easily listen to a single audio stream on separate headphones by pointing our media devices to the transmitter

    • @PortaFi
      @PortaFi  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      no, it can't transmit to two device simultaneously. as far as I understand, it's not allowed by Bluetooth itself

    • @klapajne
      @klapajne 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@PortaFiIsn't streaming to two devices among the specs for this? Also as far as I understand, Bluetooth 5 supports 2 devices (with BT 5.2 offering latency improvements) . Have also seen some BT 4 transmitters, were in reviews ppl claim to connect two pairs of headsets at the same time (but loosing aptx by doing so) ...

    • @PortaFi
      @PortaFi  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@klapajne oh, sorry so much! Somehow, I made a mistake and thought this video was about a WiiM streamer. So my answer sounded silly indeed. I could be wrong, but for this device, two devices are mentioned in receiver mode (it can connect to two sources).
      Some UGreen devices can do that indeed th-cam.com/video/UOEtG4VN3AA/w-d-xo.html but I can't say for sure for this one. Maybe they've added this feature to a newer batches

      @@PortaFi as far as I can tell from various seller sites, 2 headsets should work. Not sure if dual mode supports aptx, so latency might be an issue ...

      @@klapajne another option will be MEEAudio's solutions. They're making devices for the TV watching, and they mentioned low latency among selling points
