You really make some nice videos for sportsmen. That intro is awesome too. I've lived in Florida for 30 years but actually grew up in Oregon catching trout in reservoirs like this from my Sevylor rubber raft. Great memories.

I frequent the reservoirs further north (Echo, Rockport, Deer Creek) and got some amazing, big rainbows very late in the season. I wish Strawberry was closer! Don't fish there except once or twice a year (when I am not deployed.) Seeing videos like this makes me want to get down there again.
I love all of those reservoirs! But yeah... strawberry is hard to beat. I wish it were closer too!

I was at the ladders today and got a big kokane or salmon but he got off and then i caught 3 16" to 22" trout in an hour

You fish the same technique (pulling and feeling the bait) when bass fishing. If you use braid with a leader you won’t need to use such a heavy head. Have also never needed to tip with a worm. Not needed. Great video, that technique is hard to beat. Thanks

Utah Fishing Channel any good tips for shore fishing Strawberry this time of year? I don’t have a boat just yet but can go out on a float tube but will probably end up fishing from shore most of the day. I’ll be camping at currant creek for a couple days and haven’t had much luck at strawberry the past few times we’ve fished there. Have you ever fished currant creek?

Lots of people use worms and Power Bait from the shore too, if you're not above that stuff. :)

What size big do you use?
So I fish unitahs and high lake trout. Never from a boat. What is your rod setup?
Just a 7 foot Pflueger President Spinning Rod and Reel Combo.
I like a stiffer rod so you can really feel the bites and makes it easy to jig.
What other colors would you use for trout?
Maybe Chartreuse? But white definitely works best.

How do you not get your jig completely covered in moss every single cast? I assume you are dragging the bottom. Awesome shirt by the way!
Were actually only fishing between 15-30 feet.
Most the time we are in deep water from 30 -60 feet. No moss beds out there. We are down between 20-40 feet.
You can't keep them because they're in the slot? What does that mean?
Strawberry has a rule that you can't keep any cutthroat between 15 to 22 inches and that they
must be immediately released when you catch them.
