I love them with all my heart. There's definitely a season 2, they were so obvious
They know absolutely nothing, but are hopeful.
Unfortunately Netflix doesn't work that way. There's no guarantee there'll be a season 2 even when the shows seems to have been a smash hit.

@@belpop I wouldn't be surprised if there is already a season 2 filmed and ready to go....Netflix quite often pays their actors peanuts for the first couple of seasons....and if really successful then there is a huge increase in salary in season 3 and so on......Logically it would probably be just as expensive or cheaper to complete 12 episodes all at one time as opposed to 6...the average Netflix season is 10 episodes...so it would stand to reason season 2 is filmed....we hope, we hope, we hope :)
for a season 2 ....I would like Wilhelm to come out and take on the Swedish constitution to allow an openly Gay monarch and allow an heir created through 'non-traditional' means.......and then be proud and open about Simon......If this plot is bought up...then this would make this show the greatest LGBTQ+ story line of all time........bringing true and open freedom to the highest levels of humanity......I'd like to see what sort of conflict between Sara and Felice that could erupt after Sara and August's 'deal' is made public......I'd like to see Alexander...make a fiery comeback to bring into question the 'honor' of the 'rich boys code'.....I could go on for ever...but the first 'wish' is my favorite.
I totally agree on everything except one aspect, The show knowingly doesnt label Wille as gay and leaves his sexuality open and I think thats great. Yes, hes in a gay relationship but I like the idea of having a character that isnt forced to label himself.
@@thefuckisgoingon Edvin in his personal life...publicly states he doesn't believe anyone 'should' have a need to 'come out'...straight people don't have to come out so why should anyone else? A valid point that I have lived for many years myself.I came out once and after the hooplaa, I could then give a shit....My sexuality, my business...I no longer think of myself as gay, as opposed to 'me'. I'm alot more than my sexuality......so I feel that might be why 'Wilhelm' hasn't been labeled...however the reason I bring up about changing the constitution...I believe it's something that [might] be being looked at in Sweden......and one could assume, this could be the vehicle that brings this discussion in Sweden to the forefront....
Great interview. Really impressed with your questions. Outstanding. Edvin is really articulate. Both are so appreciative and humble. Like their characters, they seem very relatable. Two great young actors and people. Thanks for posting.

Going back here 2yrs after…. Clearly this two grew so much in terms of handling interviews, their cohesiveness together is way more fluid & endearing now (for me starting at the 2022 ones). Really happy for my boys! 🎉❤
one very sound interview, very authentic, well prepared, well phrased, intellectually thought out and respectful interview.
And both the actors are just incredible,their opinion their attitude, their answers. the series is certainly a must watch, superb by all means.luvd it.

also, with all the intimacy in the show between them, I am so in awe they don't fall for each other as actors, if someone did any of that intimacy with me I would so fall for them.
but thats what actors do, they are both incredible actors.

Besides just non-stop complimenting both actors (which is good, too), don't forget the, _you know, the _*_Director_*_ who literally puts this show together_ and advises and helps the actors make the story so 'real' and watchable --- especially in these times where politics about homosexuality plays so much of a role in the world and _also not forgetting, _*_there's a WAR going on_* between a democratic [free speech] country [Ukraine] and literally, a Nazi-like regime [Russia]

Buon pomeriggio , scrivo dall'ITALIA , e non sono più giovanissimo insomma un pò avanti con gli anni . Ho visto moltissimi clip del film , non posseggo Netflix quindi non vedrò la serie completa , però ciò che traspare è sicuramente tantissima naturalezza , semplicità , e una forza espressiva.... emotiva di grande impatto . Mi rivedo nella mia giovinezza , e ciò , mi fa ricordare le tante difficoltà nel vivere la mia vita sentimentale . COMPLIMENTI agli attori Edwin e Omar siete veramente grandi , anzi avete superato ogni limite trasmettendo tantissima passione , complimenti a chi ha scritto questa splendida storia e a tutto lo staff . COMPLIMENTI SINCERI vorrei aggiungere una cosa : sarebbe bellissimo che , la storia fosse reale , e durasse per tutta la vita....... si è un sogno , come è il sogno di SIMON & WILHELM

Advice: Next time you do something like this (or anything, really), *DITCH THE VERTICAL FORMAT AND DO HORIZONTAL (you can still get the 3 images/people in it).* This vertical crap makes everything look TINY by comparison and it's nothing but a NUISANCE!.

Omar said the character is literally perfect for him. Is he gay? Because cute and beautiful and talented we know he is! ❤️
I believe he is because in an interview he say that when they told him the character was gay he was like yaaass i finally can show how gay people really are or something like that, also he gives so much vibes love it!

But I thought it was Edvin's, as it is everyone's, wish that no one had to come out....that ones sexuality was not important, no ones business....I think that is why they don't go into detail about their sexuality.....that's their business
@@SRM_NZ yeah totally agree with you, ones sexuality is a private matter and anyone should have to come out... Also i agree Edvins protrait as a gay teen is way more convincing he really nail it! Such great actors
@@s.salvador1092 in the greater scheme of things...if both, many or all of the actors in this series are members of the LGBTQ+ community....then one [in that community] could be very proud that members are finding employment in an otherwise very 'stereotypical' straight industry.....
I am extremely happy to see more story lines in shows/movies that incorporate members of the LGBTQ+ community......it must be the goal of the community that those roles are filled by 'authentic' actors.
I 'giggle' - years ago I read an article [in a standard magazine] that said the LGBTQ+ community represented approximately 10% of the wider community with the possibility that number could be as high as 30% if everyone who truly was, were honest with themselves.....being when this article came out, many western countries had just decriminalized homosexuality.
A couple of years ago I read an article from a far right-winged evangelical religious group that put the 'true' percentage of the LGBTQ+ community at .03 - .06%...but when you are looking at forced conversion therapy who would be honest about their sexuality!
But all over....this is currently the best LGBTQ+ show I have ever seen.......the acting, story, and authenticity of this show is second to none.
Omar said in an interview a couple of years ago, (before YR), he did not like labelling himself, he sometimes hang out with girls and sometimes with guys.

Anyone think Wilhelm has underlying drug usage issues? This may come out in series 2+......
Well, the series starts with him getting into a fight in a club, and he is definitely very drunk there and out of control. It's obvious that he is under a lot of pressure, trying to live up to ideals that threaten to suffocate him. Only upon meeting Simon, Wilhelm regains some of his mental stability. I could see him seriously spiralling out of control if his duties as crown prince continue to be in conflict with his feelings for Simon. This might involve drug usage, alcohol abuse, and/or violent behaviour.
Who is the interviewer ? He is hot as hell !
